VACATION CARE PROGRAM

GRADES PRE-K THROUGH 5TH

Wear pajamas to school? Feast on pancakes? Moon Bounce? If this doesn’t sound like school--you’re right! Explore the city, bake cookies, bowl, swim, watch movies, play with friends; these are all activities that children enjoy in the Vacation Care Program. Each day offers your child lots of opportunities for play, exploration, and creativity.

The Vacation Care Program will be open all days when school is closed except legal holidays, the Friday after Thanksgiving and specific days during winter break. This will include part of Winter Break and all of Spring Break. The actual days of coverage are listed below.

Early Opening: The Vacation Care Program will open at 7:30 a.m. and close at 6:00 p.m. (unless otherwise noted below)

Enrichment Program: Children choose from a variety of options each day. Some of the activities that the children have enjoyed are photography, theater, cooking, bowling, roller skating, ice skating, visits to area museums like the Franklin Institute and The Academy of Natural Sciences as well as all kinds of art activities.

Enrollment and Costs: We have several packages from which to choose.

The Full Vacation Care Program (all the following dates) / $1,130
The Winter Break (December 20, 21, 22, 28*, 29*, January 2, 3) / $430
The Spring Break (March 21, 22, 23, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, April 2) / $550
Additional Vacation Care Dates (October 6, November 2, 3, 22, February 16)

*The Fine Print I: open 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM

**The Fine Print II: In order to receive the discounted rate of $75 a day, YOU MUST NOTIFY THE DIRECTOR OF CONTINUING PROGRAMS AT 215-561-5900, EXT. 143 NO LATER THAN TWO WEEKS PRIOR TO THE VACATION CARE DAY NEEDED. We will continue to accept drop-ins after this date, but the rate will increase to $96 a day. This deadline enables us to sufficiently plan for and staff the program. For winter break, please note, since we must plan for staffing based on sign-up, you will be charged in full once you sign up and there are no refunds. Thank you for your understanding.

If you wish to enroll your child, please send in the form below with a $25 non-refundable deposit to the Admission Office. Please note that you must send in a form with a deposit even if your child attended the Vacation Care Program last year. Please attach this form to your check. Please note: There are no refunds during the school year for closings or early dismissal due to weather.
