STAR Case
Case Number / K35373412
Vehicle Issue / No crank, no start concern.;There are codes B2102 and B2101 in the TIPM. Diagnostics was done and it led to replace the TIPM. The vehicle still would not start. A voltage drop was done on the F20 circut(pk/wt). Ground G301 was checked along with C102 for pushed out pins.
System or Component / No Start;DTC / Error Message;Group 08 - Electrical;Yes - Continuously
Recommendation / Replacing the win(wcm) module fixed this concern.

B2229 SKREEM INTERNAL DTC (set in the WIN) B2229 SKREEM INTERNAL DTC was intended to indicate that the WIN had detected an open circuit occurred in the low frequency antenna coil that it uses to communicate with the FOBIK. A second condition however, can occur on the circuit board inside the FOBIK that causes the WIN to falsely set this DTC. This means the DTC can be either a WIN failure or a FOBIK failure but not both. For this reason accurate diagnosis requires a second FOBIK (any FOBIK) to verify if the B2229 is WIN or FOBIK related. If the B2229 DTC is active insert another known good or VIRGIN FOBIK into the WIN and rotate it to the Run position. If the DTC: Becomes STORED and a different DTC sets the issue is caused by the FOBIK. Replace the FOBIK. Remains ACTIVE, the issue is caused by the WIN. Replace the WIN

Case Number: S1308000255 Release Date: 07/27/2013 Symptom/Vehicle Issue B1A35, Unidentified Key Communication Error, No Crank, No Response Discussion: Some recent reports identified that at times there is no response from the vehicle when using a programmed vehicle key and, DTC, B1A35 Unidentified Key Communiction Error may be present as stored or active. RKE functions still operate, but there is no response when turning the key to run. Some modules at times have been found not to respond to an already programmed key. This condition can be corrected by inserting a key not programmed to the vehicle or a “virgin” non-programmed key. Once communicating, continue with the programming process to validate a potential key failure and relearn original keys as needed to complete. WCM module replacements are often not required if the vehicle becomes responsive when using this process.
