Karin Wolman is a sole practitioner in New York serving businesses of all sizes, non-profit organizations and individuals, across industries from healthcare and the sciences, academia, finance and technology, to the performing, fine and graphic arts, culinary arts, fashion and beauty, architecture and design. Ms. Wolman speaks at local and national conferences on immigration topics ranging from aliens of extraordinary ability to naturalization, for organizations including AILA, the Practising Law Institute, New Jersey Institute of Continuing Legal Education, and New York State Bar Association. A graduate of Columbia University and UCLA School of Law, she worked at the Brooklyn Academy of Music when the O & P categories were introduced. She has served since 2002 as moderator of the AILA InfoNet forum on O & P visas, as well as other employment-based forums. She is the Co-Chair of the AILA NY Corporate Practice Committee, hosting tonight’s panel.

Amanda Gupta is a Partner at CoveyLaw, a boutique law firm that caters to the Arts. Amanda regularly works with clients in music, theater, tv/film, graphic arts, photography, visual arts and fashion, among others to file O-1, P-1 and EB-1 petitions. Amanda also represents national and international corporate clients as well as start-up entities spanning a range of industries (arts, technology, education, etc.). Amanda has spoken on the topic of extraordinary ability classifications for artists at events such as CMJ Music Marathon and Amsterdam Dance Event.Amanda holds a J.D. from New York Law School and a B.A. from Randolph-Macon College, and is admitted to the New York Bar as well as the Southern District of New York.

Aja Pardini, Partner with Daniel Aharoni & Partners, has specialized in obtaining immigrant and nonimmigrant visas for artists and entertainment groups of extraordinary ability since being admitted to the bar of the State of New York. She focuses on visas for visual artists, musicians/entertainers and musical groups, composers, actors/directors/producers in film/television and theatre, animators, designers, and more. She also has extensive experience in all other employment-based and family-based immigration matters. She is an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and previously served as the Co-Chair of the Local Government Liaison Committee for the New York Chapter. She volunteers her services through the New York City Immigrant Advocacy Initiative (NYCIAI) Clinic Program, and Volunteer Lawyers for the Arts (VLA). She is currently the co-Chair of Action Group Network’s NY Immigration Group. She frequently lectures on immigration issues before AILA and other prestigious organizations and universities. She is rated a Super Lawyer/Rising Star in the New York Metro Area. She received her J.D. from CUNY School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Texas. She is fluent in Spanish.

Alice Yuan is an associate with the Law Offices of Andrew L. Fair. Ms. Yuan specializes in petitions for scientists, academics and artists, including EB-1 petitions and National Interest Waivers. She received a BA in Anthropology from Queens College and a JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. She is admitted to the Bar in New York and New Jersey.
