Collection of Information
Visitors to the Site may create an online profile, which contains information such as the visitor's name, personal contact information, company name, company contact information, special interests in AFPM meetings and publications, name and contact information of a visitor's assistant, and name and contact information of a visitor's spouse/companion. Visitors are able to create a profile and manage this information through Manage Profile on the Site. The information stored in the online profile allows visitors to purchase publications and register for meetings. AFPM may collect credit card information from visitors who purchase publications, register for meetings, or reserve hotel rooms through the Site.

When visitors access the Site, AFPM may automatically collect non-personally identifiable information about them through commonly-used information-gathering tools, such as cookies. Such information may include, but is not limited to, the links visitors used to arrive at the Site, the domain and host from which visitors access the Internet, the type of web browser that visitors uses, the type of operating system in use, IP address, and the number and frequency of visitors who visit various pages of the Site.

AFPM uses cookies to make interactions with the Site easy and meaningful for visitors. When you visit the Site, AFPM's servers send a cookie to your computer. On its own, a cookie does not personally identify a visitor. AFPM uses a third-party intermediary to manage credit card processing. This intermediary is not permitted to store, retain, or use credit card billing information except for the sole purpose of credit card processing on AFPM's behalf. Additionally, credit card numbers may be shared with hotels for room confirmations.

AFPM reserves the right to disclose personally identifiable information of visitors to the Site if required by law or if AFPM reasonably believes that disclosure is necessary to protect AFPM's rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.

Communications Preferences
Visitors to the site who create an online profile can control whether, and how, they receive information from AFPM. AFPM may send visitors email communications, such as meeting announcements, call for papers, and notices to committee members, or newsletters. Visitors may be automatically subscribed for select newsletters by becoming a member of the committee for which the newsletter applies. Visitors can manage their receipt of email communications and newsletters through an "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of each email communication and newsletters. Additionally, visitors can manage their receipt of email communications and newsletters by editing their interests in Manage Profile, or by contacting AFPM at .

Public Forums
AFPM may provide public forums for visitors to interact and post information about their companies and organizations. Any personally identifiable information a visitor chooses to submit in such a forum may be read, collected, or used by others who visit these forums and may be used to send the visitor unsolicited messages. AFPM is not responsible for the personally identifiable information a visitor chooses to submit in such a forum.

AFPM uses robust security measures to protect visitors' personally identifiable information. Although AFPM strives to provide a high standard of security and privacy, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
