DESCRIPTION
This course is structured to provide the technical and tactical skills necessary toemploy obstacle clearing procedures using rappelling, lowering systems, ladders, team lifts, hook and pole procedures and other specialized equipment to gain access to critical locations and positions. Participants will be able to conduct SWAT, Sniper, Warrant, Patrol and Special Team movement in urban and rural environments utilizing tactical ascending and descending skills. Participants will beprovided TacticalRappel Master Procedures manual and all specialoperational equipment necessary to conduct training and agency needs evaluation.

CERTIFICATION
POST Plan IV, 48 Hours, Monday through Friday, including one night/lowlight session scheduled for Wednesday. Course start time is 0800H Monday
PARTICIPANTS
Participants must be in excellent physical condition, capable of functioning at heights and/or precarious locations and have basic manipulative skills to handle rigging of specialized equipment.

1. One service handgun and shoulder weapon–department issued
2. Sling for shoulder weapon.
- Flashlight – white and red light capability.
- Knee/elbow pads.
- Service boots.
- Training Uniform.
- Personal ballistic vest/tactical load bearing vest.
- Radio and communication harness.
- Tactical gloves.
- Rappelling gloves large enough to cover tactical gloves
- Service helmet
- Sunscreen and hydration fluids
- Note taking material.
- Camera/Cell Phone Camera for taking of photographs.
- One waist strap/bungee cord for shoulder weapon retention.
- No ammunition requirement
INSTRUCTOR
Ben Tisa – FBI Retired with 38 years law enforcement/military operational and training experience toinclude duty assignments as SWAT Team operator, Team Leader, SWAT Commander and USMC Combat Infantry Officer. Extensive experience in providing weapons, tactical and critical incident operational procedures to law enforcement and military special operations teams. Additional specialized skills include static rappelling and rope lower systems, helicopter rappel/fastrope insertions, tactical ladder, team lifts/drops, hook and pole ladder ascending and obstacle clearing procedures. Federal and State court certified Expert Witness regarding litigation issues involvingpolice procedures and use of force circumstances.
