OKIE811 Safety Days

Who We Are:

OKIE811 and key industry stakeholders would like to invite you to participate in the 2018 OKIE811 Safety Days. OKIE811 and is coordinating a pipeline safety awareness event that offers Excavators, Contractors and Facility Owners/Operators an opportunity to see and hear a profound experience emphasizing proper use of the 811-notification system, safe excavation practices, and response actions to take in the event of a pipeline rupture.

The Mock Line Strike demonstration involves a pipeline rupture scenario including the consequences of unsafe digging. Industry professionals will be deploying the demonstration. Observers will have the opportunity to hear, witness the rupture and feel the rush of arriving emergency responders. Following the mock line strike, the participants & audience will debrief by engaging in discussion on the lessons learned.

OKIE811 has coordinated these Safety Day’s to include:

  • A mock line strike demonstration emphasizing proper use of the 811 notification system, safe excavation practices, and response actions to take in the event of a pipeline rupture
  • Large equipment demonstrations when possible
  • Industry related breakout sessions
  • Lunch and giveaways
  • Meeting and networking with utility, pipeline, oil & gas, first responders, municipalities, county and construction personnel across the region.

Safety Day Exhibitor & Sponsorship Benefits:
