Table of Contents
Priority 1: Literacy
Goal: All third through six grade students will improve on 2009-10 Augmented Benchmarks in: Literary, Practical, and Content Passages multiple choice and open response; and Writing Multiple Choice by using inferencing, context clues, sequence of events (utilizing graphic organizers), story elements (author's purpose and intent, setting, predicting character's actions and outcomes), and cause and effect relationship.
Priority 2: Math
Goal: All third through six grade students will improve on 2007-08 Augmented Benchmarks in responding to open-ended questions, particularly in the language of geometry, algebra, and measurement by math vocabulary building and hands on activities.
Priority 3: Special Education
Goal: To decrease the number of special education students being suspended or expelled.
Priority 4: Wellness
Goal: To provide support for students in making Healthy Lifestyle Choices by implementing systems to aid in maintaining or deceasing the average BMI on routine annual student screening and increasing collaboration between all segments of the school community in support of positive lifestyle choices.
