MIRACLE HILL HOSTS CHALLENGE CYCLING AND 5K EVENT

GREENVILLE, S.C. – Miracle Hill Ministries is proud to present the 11th annual Interim HealthCare Miracle Hill Challenge fundraising event on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Furman University. Ride, run or walk in this family-friendly event to help raise funds for the homeless and hurting of Upstate South Carolina.

Ride options include 40, 62 and 100 mile routes as well as a 20-mile option along the beautiful Swamp Rabbit Trail. A 5K run/walk is available as well as the Miracle Mile Fun Run for kids ages 12 and under. This year, Miracle Hill is excited to announce that each participant will receive a personal fund-raising page, making raising money that much easier.

“Eleven years ago, I was one of the original 19 riders who began this event. We rode from the Greenville Rescue Mission to the Children’s Home in Pumpkintown, passing by Shepherd’s Gate on our way,” said Doug Guth, Challenge committee member. “Before we rode, we had heard so many statistics concerning the homeless and abused, but riding by the actual shelters, meeting the actual people Miracle Hill helps really got to us. It put a human face to all those statistics. That’s why people rode then, that’s why they ride now.”

Miracle Hill depends on the support of the community to help achieve its mission, and this Challenge fundraiser is a vital part. Last year alone, the Challenge fundraiser raised nearly $190,000 dollars in much needed support for Miracle Hill’s homeless shelters for children and adults.

Registration is open and will continue through the day of the event. For more information and to register for the Interim HealthCare Miracle Hill Challenge, please visit www.MiracleHill.org or contact Sandy Furnell at 864-631-0137.
