League Competition Rules.
1 / All entries must be on the correct form provided and all names to be printed.Any illegible names will be refused. All entry fees to accompany form. No money, No entry.
2 / All players entering competitions Must be registered for a team in the league.
3 / The current World Rules will be played in all competition matches.
4 / All players / teams with an active interest in any competition should be represented at the league draws.
Failure to do this will incur an £10.00 fine each time.
5 / Home draw to offer away draw 4 dates in writing to cover more than 2 weeks, in the K.O Cups teams to offer 4 dates over 2 weeks, in writing, (forms provided). The away draw to accept any date offered and inform opponent either by telephone or in writing, advising time to play. If No dates given in writing the away player will go through.
If the player/s is not present within 30 minutes, opponents can claim match, unless otherwise agreed.
The away draw should give a minimum of 24 hours notice of date selected to play.
When giving dates you must allow 48 hours notice, for the first date. (e.g. you cannot give Friday on a Friday)
Also you cannot give dates on a league match night Monday for the DP league & Tuesday for the Ladies league.
6 / All matches will be the best of 5 frames.The Men’s Singles & Doubles will be the best of 7 frames.
Players to decide playing order by toss of a coin, if the match is even say 3-3 then the players toss a coin again to decide who breaks the final frame.
7 / In the Landlords / Landladies Cups, only the Licensee and his or her partner are permitted to enter.
Ties to be decided on a home and away basis, best of 11 frames.
8 / Players entering the D.P. Singles money competition Must be registered and Play a minimum of 6 league matches. The competition is the best of 11 frames, played 5 at Home and 5 Away.(give 4 dates over 2 weeks)
9 / In Doubles, players cannot change their partner once the pair has gone through a round.
10 / Winning team / player/s to Text 07788717669 with result to the league secretary. If the secretary receives No result by the closing date of the draw, then the away team/ player/s goes through to the next round.
11 / If a player/s are entered more than once into competitions and this goes unnoticed until the draw, the player/s must accept the first drawn out. The second time the opposing player/s will receive a bye.
12 / If a player/s are caught playing twice in any competition, he or she will be fined and banned from the competitions.
13 / Knock Out cup matches to be played on home and away basis, as per league format, photo registration sheets must be shown. The first leg being played by the second Friday following the draw.Failure to play within this period will result in loss of tie. If match is level after both legs, one nominated player from each team to play best of 3 frames, to decide winners.Teams cannot sign on players to play only in the semi-final or final of the K.O.Cup.
14 / If any team plays an unregistered player, in the K.O.Cup, both the player and the team will be fined a minimum of £10.00 per player and the team expelled from the competition.
15 / In K.O. Cup, if the first leg is not played, the second leg will become a walkover.
16 / Teams failing to play the second leg of K.O. Cup will forfeit the match 0-15 and will be fined £10.00.
17 / Landlords / Landladies with more than one team in the K.O. Cupcan only play for one (1) team in the competition.
18 / All players will be given at least three months notice of semi-final and final night dates, which will be issued at the first draw by the league secretary. On the competition draw dates sheet.
Any players that cannot attend on the dates given should withdraw from the competitions, because players that reach the semi-finals and finals and do not attend will be banned from entering league competitions for a period of between six to twelve months.(unless there is a valid reason, of which the committee must be notified.)
19 / Winners of the Mens & Ladies Singles will be entered into the E.P.A. Champion of Champions competition.
20 / Players registered with teams that withdraw from the league, will also be withdrawn from the competitions.
21 / The committee’s decision is final.
Up-dated at AGM on Monday 1st September 2008
