Job description
The Advisor, Direct Sales, is responsible for a client portfolio developed using our Client Contact Centre (outgoing calls). The Advisor must develop the loyalty of clients by providing personalized, quality advisory services with the goal to become their number one financial reference.
The Advisor’s mission is to help clients achieve their financial goals while boosting team sales. But the ultimate goal is client satisfaction!
Roles and responsibilities
Based on set goals, participate in developing and preparing the team’s business plan.
Develop, maintain and solicit continuous business relationships with existing clients who are in his or her portfolio or on a predefined list.
Through telephone meetings, identify, analyse and evaluate client needs based on their goals and financial situation.
Efficiently organize and process various client maturities in the portfolio.
Participate in mass call campaigns to maximize sales opportunities.
Offer investment products, such as planners, guaranteed investment, mutual funds, TFSA, RRSP, etc.
Offer financing products, such as lines of credit, personal loans and mortgages.
Offer transactional products, such as credit cards and banking packages.
Complete product requests and send them to the appropriate departments.
Inform clients of the Bank’s policies and procedures.
Ensure compliance.
Perform all other tasks required by the supervisor or required for the job.
Keep up to date on the products and services offered by the Bank and changes in the industry or competition.
Minimum qualifications
Education: A minimum of a college diploma (DEC) or a university certificate in administration, finance or economics
Experience: A minimum of three years of experience in sales advisory
Any other relevant combination of education and experience
Certification as a mutual fund representative (support provided for obtaining the required certification prior to hiring)
Specific competencies
Excellent sales and negotiation skills
Ability to communicate clearly on the phone
Excellent spoken French and English (ELAM standards)
Ø Oral skills: B2
Ø Oral expression: B2
Knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Explorer)
Ability to work with several tools at the same time
