--UNITY CHRISTIAN 8TH GRADE DAYwill be held on Tuesday, April 12. All 8th grade students are invited to visit Unity from 9:20 a.m. until noon. We are excited for them to experience a tour of the school, to let our current students tell what they like best about Unity, and a chance to connect with teachers and meet new friends. The evening event for parents and students will begin at 6:00 with a burger fry and tours, followed by an informational meeting at 7:00 p.m.

--PRESENTATION ABOUT DIGITAL COMMUNICATION AND SOCIAL MEDIA - The Boyden-Hull Community School District and the Sioux County Sheriff's Office are teaming up to host an informational presentation about digital communication and social media entitled "Things Parents Should Know About Digital Communication and Social Media".Dr. Brandon Nutting, a professor of media and journalism at the University of South Dakota, will serve as the keynote speaker for this event. An interactive panel discussion will follow Dr. Nutting's keynote where the audience is encouraged to ask questions of him and a panel of guests. Please consider joining us for this interactive presentation on Wednesday, April 13 at 7:00 p.m. in Hull at the Boyden-Hull High School Auditorium.

--CARY CHRISTIAN CENTER IS COMING TO NW IOWA Please mark your calendars for Thursday evening, April 14. It will take place at Trinity Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley.The evening will begin with a delicious catfish, fried chicken meal with all the fixin’s prepared by the staff of CCC.Serving starts at 6PM. There will be a ‘meet and greet’ with the staff and they are excited to see their friends from the area! They will do a presentation around 7:15 to share all the exciting things happening at CCC, including introduction of their new Executive Director! No reservations are necessary. A freewill gift will be taken. This is a ‘friend & fund raising’ event for CCC so please consider supporting this wonderful ministry from the Mississippi Delta with generous hearts and hands.

--RAISING FUNDS FOR THE FAMILY CRISIS CENTER - The Sunday school kids have been raising funds to put together Comfort bags for the children who come to the Family Crisis Center. A Touch of Class will be donating items with us. Please help us in our final push to create these bags. Each bag will contain items that kids leave home without, such as toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, book or toy, shampoo, blanket.The children will be assembling these bags at our final Sunday School class on April 17. Thanks so much for your help! We are asking the whole congregation to help us in supporting this need in our own community! We would love to make as many bags as we can so we have set a goal of $1,000! We still need 350.00 to reach that goal but wouldn't it be great to get even more? Please consider helping the Sunday school children with their goal! Please put your donations in Tammy Sieck's mailbox! Thanks so much!

--THE GUATEMALA TEAM would like to thank everyone so far for the great support we have received this far in our fundraising. As we move forward and continue to raise funds, our next project is having a garage sale in the Sioux Center City Wide garage sales. If you are in the spring cleaning mood and would like to donate any items for the garage sale, you may drop your items off in the youth group room. If is it easier or there are any bigger items and you would like us to pick them up, please let Angie Zomermaand know and we will gladly come pick them up. We will alsogladly price your items. If you would like any items back that do not sell, please let us know so we can label them and get them back to you. Otherwise, all items that do not sell will be donated to Atlas or Bibles for Missions. Please try to get your stuff to us by April 17 so we have time to organize and price all the items.

--ANNUAL SOCITY MEETING AT UNITY CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL:Please mark your calendars to join us on Tuesday, April 19 at 7:00 in the Knight Center. This meeting will include approving the 2016-17 budget, a foundation report, election of new board members, and annual update of the school. Board nominees will be published later.

--THE NORTHWEST IOWA SYMPHONY ORCHESTRAwill present its annual Spring Concert, Czech-Mates, on Tuesday, April 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the BJ Haan Auditorium. NISO concludes its 2015-2016 Symphonic Journey with a musical voyage to one of the most beautiful places in all of Europe: the Czech Republic! NISO’s youth orchestra, NISYO joins forces with NISO for a performance of Dance of the Comedians by Smetana. Guest artist, Christopher Hill, principal clarinetist of the South Dakota Symphony Orchestra, will perform Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A Major.NISO’s finale will be the rarely-performed Symphony No. 6 in D Major by Dvořák.As in the past, this Spring Concert will also feature the announcement of the 2016-2017 Season of the Northwest Iowa Symphony Orchestra! Season tickets for next year will be offered that evening for a special discounted price.Advance tickets are available at True Vine Bookstore in Sioux Center and Dove Christian Bookstore in Orange City. --THE INSPIRATIONS FROM BRYSON CITY, NORTH CAROLINA will be presenting a benefit concert on Saturday evening, April 23 at 6:30 PM at the B. J. Haan Auditorium. The Inspirations have been performing since 1964 and they have received every honor and award that southern gospel music has to offer. The concert will also feature the Journey Bound Quartet of Des Moines, IA and the Triumphant Sound Quartet from Lawton, IA. This will be the last week-end performance the Journey Bound Quartet will be singing in NW IA as they will retire May 1.Tickets will be $15.00 per person and sold at the door only. The doors will open at 5:00 PM. All proceeds of the concert will benefit the local and global ministries of Hope Haven.
