The purpose of this meeting is for gallery staff to confirm that your work is exhibition ready and ready to hang, and to also ensure that you are fulfilling your graduation requirements. Please bring two-dimensional work to the gallery for this session. If your work is 3D or too large to easily bring over, photos will suffice. This means that your artwork must be completed, dry, framed, printed, etc. by this week.

December 16-17: Artwork pick up. You must come to the gallery during normal business hours (11am-4pm) to pick up your work. Work that is not picked up by December 17 will be disposed of.
Artwork check & Installation sessions:
All students must sign up for and attend anartwork check and installation session. During the installation session, a gallery staff member will be available to assist you in hanging your work. If you do not attend a session, your work will not be hung in the exhibition. You must show up on time to your scheduled sessions. EX: if you are scheduled for a session from 2-3pm, you need to be in the gallery by 2:00.
Guidelines for Artwork:
Artwork must be ready to hang when delivered to the gallery. This means works on paper must be framed and a hanging wire (actual wire, not string) must be installed on the back. Paintings on canvas also need a hanging wire. Graphic design works on paper must be mounted on foam core (if you do not want to do the mounting yourself, Big Picture will print and mount your work for you). If you have any questions on whether your piece is installation ready, please ask prior to November 28. If work is not installation ready, it will be refused.
How much artwork you include in the show depends on your degree. Generally, BS students include 2-3 pieces while BFA students include 6-10. You should consult your professors about how many and which pieces to select. Ultimately, your faculty area head determines whether you have fulfilled the criteria for graduation, so it is important to include them in this process.
