Your project will support the mission of the British Red Cross, and it must:

-  be about helping people

-  be responding to a problem or giving people something they need and want

-  be neutral (not promoting religious or political ideas)

-  The project must have a named treasurer (someone 18 years or over who will be in charge of the money awarded to the team in the project budget)

-  It must be able to completed within the time given (12 weeks)

-  It must support the Fundamental Principles of the Red Cross Movement and its mission. (To find out more about the work of the British Red Cross and our values of principles, please visit www.redcross.org.uk)

-  It must be safe (it won’t cause harm to participants or the public)

(e.g. The play will help people living with HIV because the audience will be more informed, and it will reduce stigma. It will not be political or religious in content. There is a need for people to understand people living with HIV as ¾ of HIV positive people living with HIV say they have experienced discrimination or bullying as a result of their status. The Red Cross Movement is concerned with the health and well-being of people, physically and emotionally. It works to support people living with HIV, and reduce stigma towards all groups that are marginalised)
