AP World History – Extra Credit Opportunity
Movie Review Form
20 extra credit points available per quarter
- To receive any credit on this project all sections of the review form must be completed properly.
- Complete your 250-word review on a separate sheet of paper. Typing is preferred. If you cannot type, please be sure to write LEGIBLY. You MUST refer to your textbook, lecture notes, APWH themes (think S.P.I.C.E), and/or class discussions in your review. If your movie or book relates to a topic we have not yet covered, you will need to read ahead in your textbook in order to make connections. Try to research the topic to see how accurately the events and people are portrayed. I will not accept it without that connection and application to the course. (In other words, you can’t copy a review from a website -or- just ‘make it up’…. Anyone can write a plot summary. You need to show analysis and critical thinking.) Make recommendations (suggestions on how you would have adjusted or changed it to make it more accurate) and commendations (things you really liked). Give specific examples to support your views.
- Name of movie: ______
- Year released: ______
- Main actors and their characters:
- Rating by the Motion Picture Association of America: ______(G, PG, PG13, R)
- Mandatory parent/guardian signature verification: ______a parent must sign the line above to verify you completed this assignment as per instructions, and that they are aware you watched this movie, despite its rating. It will not be graded without a signature.
- Your quick rating:
Shade the number of stars your movie deserves. 5 Stars = AWESOME, 1 Star = Yuck!
- Staple this page to your movie review. Your review should be a minimum of 250 words. At the very bottom of your review, please give the total word count.
- Due dates:

- 2nd quarter – December 11, 2017
- 3rd quarter - March 12, 2018
