School Christmas Fair

Friday 9th December 2016

3.45pm until 5.15pm

Dear Parents/Carers,

The Christmas Fair is fast approaching but will only be able to go ahead with your support. Please read this letter carefully so that you can consider how you might be able to support us in making our Christmas Fair a success, not only for raising much needed funds, but also to ensure that everyone can have a good time with their families.

Non- Uniform Day

This will be held on Friday 2nd December. Children are invited to bring in a clean soft toy or chocolate for the teddy or chocolate tombola in exchange for wearing non-uniform for the day.

If you are unable to provide either of these items and your child still wishes to take part please donate £1 towards the Parent Teachers’ Association.

Private pitches

We are able to offer parents the chance to hold their own table at a cost of £10. Please note that we are not able to accept any stalls which sell any food or drinks and all stalls must be manned by an adult over 18 years of age. Please note that we will need a copy of public liability insurance prior to the event for any personal stalls whose profits will be retained by the stall owner – if all profits are gifted to the PTA stalls will be covered by the PTA insurance. Alternatively we can provide public liability insurance for an additional £10 payment. If you wish to have a stall at the event please contact the school office to arrange payment and the details about your stall. These will be allocated on a first come first served basis.

Making cakes

We will of course be having our cake stall and would welcome donations of cakes. These can be brought to the school office from Thursday 8th December until lunchtime on 9th December.

Donations of prizes

In addition to the items listed above for the non- uniform day, we would be glad to receive any further suitable gifts/new items or new toys to use as prizes in our grand draw.

Volunteers

We are, of course, looking for volunteers for the day itself. We will need help with setting up, manning stalls and clearing away. Please complete the form below (ticking in the white area to show how you or an adult member of your family will be able to help) and return it to school showing what you will be able to do to help. The more helpers we get, the more stalls we can put on so please do what you can.

Yours sincerely,

Mrs P. Martin

Headteacher
