Meeting started at 12:01 pm

Welcome – Blayne Gatenby

  • Blayne congratulated everyone on the Chapter’s achievement for exceeding our retention goals and may reach out to board members to write up descriptions of what was done to achieve this goal.
  • Blayne explained that she and David has a conversation with Marsha Eagan about the June event, which will be themed “Creating Your Own Luck“.

Treasurer’s Report – Ryan Elblein

  • Ryan noted that we have a larger amount of money available than we would need in a given year and mentioned that we may want to put some of that into CDs. The board agreed that it would be good to look into. He said that he would put together some options for us to look at.
  • He mentioned that he can change us to a year-end fiscal year, but we need to confirm that there are no issues with the by-laws first. Blayne said that she would check with National to see if there is anything else that needs to be done for this change.
  • Our financial statements were reviewed, voted upon, and a motion was passed to accept the financials.

Program’s Volunteer – Jack Barney

  • Jack had used the Paw Sox website to reach out to arrange our annual Paw Sox event, but had not yet received a response.
  • David Mosby offered to send along the contact information for the person he worked with previously.
  • It was decided to choose a date in early August for the game.
  • Jack said that the 1149 menu needs to be decided on 21 days before the event and will send out the options to the board. We will select something similar to last year.

Membership– David Deacon

  • Dave’s reports were reviewed, along with the communications that he has had with members.
  • Dave, Traci, Rose and Liz will work together to create a uniform template for member communication.

Director – Liz Barker

  • Liz explained the newly proposed methods of printing out individual badges prior to each meeting instead of having a full printing of all membership, which is a similar method to the Boston Chapter.
  • Others agreed that it was a good idea to keep information up-to-date and display consistent.

Meeting adjourned at 12:55 pm.
