Rules for Illinois Association FFA
Chapter President Award Application

Purpose

Because of its mission to develop premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education, FFA is noted for producing young leaders on many levels. The Illinois Association FFA Chapter President Award Application is designed to encourage chapter presidents to promote premier leadership, personal growth and career success in their FFA Chapters and reward outstanding chapter presidents for their efforts in doing so.

Rules

Participants must be an active FFA member.

Participants must hold the chapter FFA degree.

Participants must serve as President of their FFA chapter during the school year in which this award is applied for.

Applications must be signed and dated in the appropriate portions by both the participant and his or her chapter advisor.

If an activity is not available to chapter members (example: Section does not hold a Greenhand Quizbowl), the Not Applicable column should be marked. Lack of participation in these activities will not count against the applicant.

Participants must fill out the application in its entirety and return it to the IllinoisFarm Bureau Young Leader Department, 1701 Towanda Ave., Bloomington, IL 61701 no later thanMay 1. Applications received after May 1 will not be judged.

Any violation of these rules will result in disqualification from the Illinois Association FFA Chapter President Award process.

Awards

Applications will be rated Gold, Silver or Bronze, and a Top Ten will be chosen.

Participants will be notified of their rating by May 16.

Top Ten winners will receive plaques on stage at the State FFA Convention.

All awards are sponsored by the Illinois Farm Bureau® Young Leader Committee.
