Mr./Mrs.
Shanghai, China
Dear Mr. / Mrs.
As the export promotion agency of the government of Costa Rica, the Foreign Trade Corporation of Costa Rica (PROCOMER) and Trade Office of the Embassy of Costa Rica are honoured to invite you to the Twelfth Buyers Mission to Costa Rica (BTM) carded for September 7-10, 2010 at the Convention Centre of the Hotel Ramada Plaza Herradurain San José, Costa Rica.
Every year BTM brings together Costa Rican exporters and buyers from Canada, Central America, China, CARICOM Member Countries, United States, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, European Union, Chile, among others. Last year a total of 180 buyers from 29 countries and 250 Costa Rican exporters participated in the event.
We are confident that the Twelfth Buyers Mission will surpass the success of previous editions and sincerely hope you can be part of it. We invite you to take full advantage of this opportunity and to reserve these dates now.
Our Buyers Mission is much more than a trade show. It offers a unique opportunity to meet and have direct contact with potential suppliers. Products will be exhibited in a propitious business environment. Once you decide to participate, we will pre-arrange meetings with companies according to your interests, as you would indicate to us in the attached Buyers Profile. Thus, prior to the event, we will be able to send you a custom made agenda, along with a profile of the companies and executives who will be meeting with you.
Costa Ricahas an extensive network of free trade agreements which include Central America, Canada, CARICOM, Chile, Mexico, Panama, United States and now with Singapore and China, both signed on April this year. Costa Rica is also currently negotiating free trade agreements with China, the European Union and Singapore.
Be prepared to take advantage of the opportunities enhanced by the newly signed Free Trade Agreement between Costa Rica and China, which will soon enter into force by participating on this event.
PROCOMER will provide participants with the following:
- The chance to explore new business opportunities.
- The opportunity to meet 250 Costa Rican exporters and their products in just one brief trip.
- Direct contact between buyers and exporters.
- A more productive participation, because the Buyers Trade Mission is a match-making and business meeting oriented event, rather than a traditional trade mission.
- The guidance and support of PROCOMER throughout the event will ease and your business trip and make it more productive.
- A welcome dinner and a business cocktail are part of the activities we have arranged for the visiting buyers – all in the company of local and international business people. Please see attached draft program for your reference.
- Hotel accommodation for up to three nights (7, 8 and 9 of September) as well as breakfast and lunch (8 and 9 of September). All participants must cover their travel expenses to and from Costa Rica.
