Introduction:
Introduce yourself. People are going to feel more comfortable with you if you tell them who you are. Your kids.Your job. It’s all about them making some kind of connection to YOU as a person. Not just someone trying to sell them something.
“My name is Melissa Fietsam and I have 5 children. I’m married to my high school sweet heart, and my house is ALWAYS a circus! I am a retired Registered Nurse who worked in the ER and also taught LPN’s on the side. And I’m just extremely grateful to be able to work from home now and take care of my circus fulltime!”
You have to let people know WHAT Thirty-One is and what it’s all about.
“Is there anyone here that has never been to a Thirty-One party? Most people don’t know this, but Thrty-One is a faith based company founded from Prov. 31. Our mission is to celebrate, encourage, and reward women.”
Door Prize Slips:
Pass one out to each guest. Tell them you need their name and email and you’ll pull a winner for a prize. You can have your hostess collect these in a littles carry all caddy when they’re done filling them out.
The goal is to get them to fill out something with their name, email address, phone, and home address.
You can say….”Thirty-One has an outlet sale a couple times a year that you will be invited to via email. I also like to send coupons, new catalogs, and special offers occasionally…and you can get those if you fill out your address!”
Hostess Gift:
Everyone loves to be celebrated. So while people are filling out their door prize slips, bring your hostess up and give her the key fob with the note that thanks her for having you over. URU key fob is great or this because it allows you to “plug” the Gives round up on the order forms!
“You are the key to my business and I just wanted to say thank you so much for inviting over to party with you and your friends and family! And now you get to collect all the door prize slips and draw for a winner!”
Backwards Catalog Party:
This starts with the kit on the back of the catalog. Then you flip one page and explain the hostess exclusive items. Then you flip a page and explain that embroidery is $7, icons are $10. Flip the page again and show the product guide. This answers almost every single question they need to know about ordering, signing up as a consultant, and booking a party.
And hold your catalog and flip with them. So you don’t have to memorize ANYTHING. You just tell them when you flip the page.
“okay, flip one more page….and this is your embroidery options. It costs $7 to embroider your name or initials. It doesn’t matter if you do one letter, or TEN. It’s just $7 to embroider. And we also have the Icon-it. That costs $10 and you can get that with or without a name at no additional cost. Now flip one more page over and this is….etc. etc.”you’re just looking at the page and explaining what’s on it. It’s a NO BRAINER! And so easy for new consultants!!
Game:
Ask Me About My Job. The goal is to get them to ask every single question about becoming a consultant. So you GUIDE them to the questions they can ask you. YOU need to say these questions out loud to them, because these are the questions you want them to turn around and ASK you!
“You say…..So because I love what I do so much…I love to share it with everyone! So I’m going to give you 3 minutes to ask anything you want about MY JOB. For every question you ask, you will earn a TICKET. And we will draw for another prize at the end!
You can ask me anything you want about my job, like:
How much do I make?
Do I get a discount on products?
How many parties do I hold a month?
Can you just do catalog parties?
What if I sign up and don’t sell anything? “
**GUIDE THEM TO THE QUESTIONS YOU WANT THEM TO ASK YOU AND THEY WILL ASK YOU!!!
Customer Special:
You have to make sure you tell everyone what the customer special is. And more importantly….how they can use that month’s particular bag that’s on sale. You have to show them WHY they need it!
So be prepared to tell them a few uses for that bag and SHOW them the bag if you have it

You: Show some of the new Jewell line would be great for this. Show 4-5 products
Home: Show the OH SNAP bins and pockets, your way cubes, maybe fold n file, or hang up home organizer, double duty caddy
Family/On the Go: Show bleacher blanket, thermals, zip organizing utility totes, large/deluxe utility totes, On a Stroll bag, etc.

Tip:
Take some of your more expensive items and your hostess exclusive items and put tags on them that say FREE or Half Price. It’s another booking seed when they ask you HOW this is Free or Half Off. You can use the labels below
All you need is some scrapbook paper, print the items below and cut out and glue to the center of the scrapbook paper. Laminate all pieces and hole punch one corner and put a ring around the hole and the product!
