Burglary Action Plan 2012/2013
PRIORITY: Strategic aim – To tackle persistent offending to reduce domestic burglaries and repeat victimisation, whilst reducing the opportunities, incentives and motivation to commit domestic burglary.
List Aims:
Develop and analyse high quality data on domestic burglary focusing on
• areas of high burglary concentration
• persistent offenders and repeat victims
• drug related domestic burglary
Develop partnership action plans to reduce domestic burglary in identified priority geographical
Develop a partnership action plan to break the cycle of drug related persistent offending
To reduce the opportunity for burglary in those environments identified as high risk
Reduce the fear of domestic burglary whilst reinforcing the home security message
To work in partnership to reintegrate offenders into the community through housing, support, work and education.
