Now that you have completed at least 3 surveys in the “Who Am I” portion of myblueprint, let’s take a closer look at the possible careers that result from our surveys…

To get started visit

Log in to your account (that you created in Unit 5; please see teacher if you are having issues with this).

Part I: Compatibility Survey

Select “Who Am I” menu choice from the Home Page

You should arrive at the last survey which you completed.

Along the right side, find “Compatibility Survey” and click it.

You will be taken to a page of Occupation Matches, which lists careers that myblueprint fit well with your learning styles, personality, interests, knowledge, and motivations.

Here is a sample of Occupation Matches…

From your list of occupations, choose the occupation match that interests you most. In this example, I will select “Instructional Designer”.

Click the “Get Started” button…

Once finished a Compatibility Survey, you will see that your Occupations list has now been updated to show a percentage of how well you suit that career.

Part II: Your Occupation/28 marks

Select an occupation by clicking on the Occupation name.

It need not be the top result after the Compatibility Survey; you may choose any occupation that interests you (regardless of what myblueprint thinks suits you most!).

In this example, I will select “Instructional Designer”…

When you arrive at the Overview page for your occupation, take a moment to add it to your Portfolio.

Now, you will be taken to a search tool where you can refine your search for a program which offers education for your chosen career…

Below this search area you will see your results being refined (less results the more filters you apply). If the results show “0” you may have to remove filters from the search area.

Scan the results generated and click the 3 small vertical dots to the right of the program. Select “Compare”…

A black banner should appear across the top of the screen with the name of the program in small type. Find a 2nd program and also select “Compare”.
