Board Meeting
Minutes – ISEA Meeting – November 18, 2012

Meeting is called at 12 05 pm
September Minutes
The September minutes were brought forth. Minor corrections were made to help clarify the Southwest Leather Bachelor Auction, the award from GentleShepardChurch, contact to ICC President, and a few members’ names. After corrections, the minutes will be submitted for posting to the ISEA website.

Financials
Bill read both reports
The PAWS event is a regular event. The ISEA does not have a proclamation to make this an annual Court event. After this reign, the money donated to this cause on the website should go to the general fund.
After discussion, the webmaster will leave the PAWS button on the event page and add a “donate to the Court button” on the main page.
Monthly fee:
Darrell talked to the bank to eliminate this fee. The bank has advised that the original branch where the account was first established would have to be contacted and make this a permanent elimination.

College
Monarch survey results are not complete.
The college has submitted to the Secretary their work on P & P’s for Coronation. They will be working on the Monarch and Candidate sections at the next time they meet together.

Grievance
Board President advises that when Jerry stepped down from the Board, he did not give up the Grievance Chair. At this time the Grievance committee is Jerry and Steve L.

Still working with the College on the P & P’s
Parliament
Maxine has paperwork in for Parliament attendance and plans to be at the next meeting.
Michael G. has questions on the travel fund for Parliament as mentioned in the last meeting. He will readdress his concerns during the Membership meeting.
New Membership
The Membership Chair issue is still on hold
ICC
Iowa’s monarch has been suspended
Harvey Milk letters is still an ongoing event
Michael G. still has raffle tickets to sell for the ICC raffle
Michael G. still has ICC t-shirts and pens for sale
Public Relations
In Touch magazine no longer is published and should not be listed on any Court paperwork, event poster, etc as a Media sponsor
Scholarship
Michael G. is working to move the Scholarship cut off moved to March 1st instead of April 1st. This will allow two months to prepare Scholarship documents for Coronation
Old Business

The Monarch’s are waiting to get through the holiday season before starting to plan for Coronation
Eric is looking at buses for the bar tour
Hotel is secured. Room blocks are on the website. Other courts are asking for ticket prices. It is noted that the Board will set ticket prices. Bill needs an estimate for set design, etc.

Financials
Bill reviewed the financials
Bank has stated that the Average Daily Balance is $7500, not $5000 as was previously understood
Darrel will be talking to the branch where the account was originally started about removing the monthly fee.
Old Business
Sister Act, monarchs extend their congratulations to Bill V on a successful event. This event raised $700 +
At this event, Bill V was elevated to Marquises and Bill M was elevated to Grand Duke
PAWS – hosted by Kyle and Jamie. This was a 3-day event. Congratulations extended to these hosts on a successful event. The monarchs give a thank you to all who attended.
Coronations
The monarchs and several ISEA court members attended the Dallas Coronation.
Jerry and Eric were name and ½ Emperor and ½ Empress
Travis, Jerry, Eric were presented awards
Dallas has been named a brother Court to the ISEA
Community Events
The monarchs have been at many community events. The ISEA has been well represented. Reminder to please wear lanyards or name tags when attending other non ISEA events
Cris C was given the Community Legacy Award for all of his work within the local LGBT community
New Business
Upcoming Coronations
Las Vegas
All courtiers who are planning to attend Las Vegas will need to email Craig and the monarchs so protocols can be put together. Protocol deadline is this coming Friday.
LA Hollywood will be next week

Emperors Ball on 11/2412, 7 pm
This is a State event. Attire is in theme or Gowns and Crowns
Winter Wonderland on 12/8/12
Posters are out and raffle tickets are available. Theme is Music Duets. All Court members should be in white. Email Bill with your music. Send questions to Bill. Charity is the Hospice of the Valley / Travel Fund
Festivus on 12/22/12, 9 pm
This event has been moved to Friends

$25 entry fee for Feats of Strength
AML will be having a toy drive for Logan’s Playground. Collection boxes are out in the bars and through out the community. Toys are to be new, unwrapped, and for boys and girls up to age 13.

Men’s Chorus at JohnPaulCollege on 12/14, 12/15, and 12/16
Gentle Shepard will have a caroling event on 12/15/12 6 to 7 pm. They would like the court to appear and help with refreshments.

The Minnesota Court has named the ISEA as one of their sister courts
