2Health and safety procedures must be followed in accordance with workplace and legislative requirements for all tasks leading to assessment of this standard. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be used throughout operations in accordance with company procedures and manufacturer’s instructions.
3Definition
Company procedures refer to all documented policies and procedures of the candidate’s employer at the time of training including, but not limited to, those relating to health, safety, environment, quality, and operations.

Evidence requirements
1.1Degreasing requirements are determined in accordance with company procedures.
Rangecomponents – solid, plate, hollow, fabricated.
1.2Lifting, moving, immersion and supporting of components in degreasing bath is directed in accordance with company procedures.
Rangecomponents – solid, plate, hollow, fabricated.
1.3Removal of jig and components from degreasing solution is directed in accordance with company procedures.
1.4Any drainage, venting, and degreasing faults are identified, and remedies determined and actioned in accordance with company procedures.
1.5Requirements for removal of residue from degreasing tank surface are identified prior to and after removal of components and actioned in accordance with company procedures.
Outcome 2
Monitor quality of degreasing for hot dip galvanizing.
Evidence requirements
2.1Consistency of the degreasing process is monitored in accordance with company procedures.
2.2Where applicable, records of degreasing are keptin accordance with company procedures.
