- Washes equipment thoroughly with consideration for risks that may cause damage e.g. power, fibre, bending, etc
- Thoroughly rinses equipment with consideration for risks that may cause damage
- Performs Protein Residue check and explains the results
Washer Disinfector /
- Check chemistry levels

- Cleans exterior surfaces of washer disinfector
- Remove filter plates and clean and replace
- Remove spray arms wash, check and replace
- Performs pH test (ensure PPE is correct)
- Demonstrates process for manual loading of washers
- Demonstrates process for loading of “Airglide system”
- Demonstrates process for isolating washers on “Airglide system”
- Demonstrates an understanding of the cycles available on this washer disinfector and their use
- Loads the instrument trolley to minimise shadowing
- Loads the bowl set trolley to minimise shadowing

- Demonstrates correctly loading all four ultrasonic machines to maximise cleaning efficacy
- Demonstrates loading cannulated connections
- Specific EYE instruments: ensures sterile water is used for final rinse as per instructions
Drying cabinets /
- Clean inside and outside
