Report Card Entries

November 6, 2017: Brant is doing well with his obedience work. We have started prepping him for force fetch and more formal training. He is learning sit, stay, heel, here, his name, no, kennel, and up. He’s responding well to the training. Retrieving feathered dummies now to combine with the gun along with some field shed work.

November 27, 2017: Still prepping for force fetch and will start probably the end of this week as he permits. Looking strong. Doing lots of walking in the woods and fields to get him confident and comfortable. Obedience is still in the works !

December 11, 2017: Slowing progressing the force fetch with the research methods. He is responding well so far! Starting to use the e collar during obedience sessions and lots of field running.

January 1, 2018: Brant is doing well. Had him into the vet recently for an exam and he looks great! Force process we are in and obedience.

ATTENTION: DUE TO THE COLD TEMPURATURES A FEW DOGS HAVE BEEN COUGHING. NOTHING SERIOUS BUT I’M REQUIRED TO KEEP EVERYONE HERE UNTIL ITS GONE. COLD TEMPS -10 AND BELOW WE DON’T DO MUCH TRAINING IN SO PICK UP DATES HAVE CHANGED. PLEASE ADDRESS THAT AT THE TOP OF THE REPORT CARD.

January 16, 2018: Brant is doing well. Force fetch is going good and smooth thus far.

February 20, 2018: Brant is wrapping up force fetch. Doing well. Good bird drive. Handling well so far.

March 12, 2018: Taking a step back for Brant. The end of his force fetch was getting stressful so I’m reviewing old steps and giving him some freedom. If I don’t he will clam up. Slowing down is a good option for the last week.

March 21, 2018: The big boned boy is being a little Bucky still. No big deal, just growing pains.

April 4, 2018: Weather is going to delay training. You will not be charged for this. In the meantime I will be reviewing the force fetch, obedience, and control and stability.

April 17, 2018: Due to the weather this will delay training. All I’m able to do is indoor obedience, force fetch and behavioral training which is really what he needs most. Still very puppy yet. You will not be charged for this. You do have a balance of $200.00 due if you could pay that. Thank you.

May 1, 2018: Things are going really well!

May 8, 2018: KENNEL UPDATE: Airing (play) yard has been updated to twice the size. Its important dogs have plenty of time to be dogs and play and interact. Relieves stress in training besides the roading rig. We are adding a pond in our field, for light close training, cool off on hot summer days, (lately). We are also adding trails and training areas. NOTE: Due to the dramatic change in temps dogs are slowly adjusting to working in the heat. Remember we had snow just a few weeks ago.

He is coming along much better. I’m looking for him to go home in June.

June 1, 2018: Brant is coming along. A little stubborn lately. But doing good. I know its taken longer than expected but I want it all to be worth it. He is the biggest sweetheart. Your going to love him.

June 21, 2018: Brant excelled this week at his “break” from FF on his water work. He loves to push the limits lately. Always leaning a little too close, a little too forward on the heel position. And so on.
