1.UNDERSTANDING:Belonging to AFJROTC is a privilege, not a right.Theinstructors
reserve the right to remove a cadetfrom the program if they are not meeting the minimum standards spelled out in this contract.
2.OBLIGATIONS AND CONSIDERATIONS:Participation in AFJROTC does not commitor obligate any student to military service.It doesnot guarantee special consideration if a student chooses to enter military service.However, a cadet who successfully completes 3 years ofAFJROTC may qualify for advanced rank upon enlistment in the military.
3.APPLICATION:I, the above named cadet, hereby apply for enrollment in the TX-20171 Air Force JROTC Program.
4.AGREEMENT:(Aerospace Science Instructors)Upon acceptance of this applicationthe Senior Aerospace Science Instructor (SASI) andtheAerospace Science Instructor (ASI) agree to educate and train the cadet in citizenship, promote community service, instill responsibility, character, and self-discipline. Instructors will provide instruction in air/space fundamentals, leadership, and the Cadet Health and Wellness Program.
5.AGREEMENT:(Cadet)In order to maintain the high cadet standards of discipline, courtesy, personal
conduct, and appearance required by the Air Force and the TX-20171AFJROTC program, I understand and agree to the following:
A.I will meet or exceed the standards of discipline, behavior, attitude, and courtesy required by the instructors.
B.I will abide by the basic rules and directives as listed below. Failure to do so may result in removal from AFJROTC.
(1) I will arrive at school wearing the AFJROTC uniform properly and wear it all day as directed by the instructors (Changing into uniform at school will result in a zero unless coordinated between my parent and the ASI).
(2) I will maintain proper grooming standards in uniform as instructed by the ASI (AFI 36-2903).
(3) I will strive to learn and master individual/group Drill and Ceremonies.
(4) I will clean my uniform regularly and maintain it as necessary.
(5) I will wear the issued Physical Training Uniform and participate in the PT activities.
(6) I will participate in extracurricular activities to the best of my ability.
(7) I will NOT be involved in any inappropriate or illegal behavior.
(8) I will NOT wear the AFJROTC uniform or PT Uniform to ISS or DAEP.
(9) I will NOT have any visible facial piercings (Other than earrings).
C.If I am absent on uniform day, I will make up my grade my first day back to school. If I simply fail to wear the AFJROTC uniform as directed (or fail to wear it as directed after an absence), my grade will result in a zero and my parent will be contacted. The uniform grade may be made up on the following Monday at 4:10pm by contacting the ASI. In this case, the HIGHEST grade I may receive is a 70%.
D.I understand this is a cadet-run program and am expected to follow orders of cadets senior in rank. I will render proper military courtesies to instructors, military officers, and cadet officers. I will show courtesy and respect to administrators, teachers, coaches, and other adults with whom I come into contact.I will conduct myself properly when I am entrusted with a position of leadership.
E.I will return the AFJROTC uniform when instructed to do so.Failure to return uniforms may result in filing of a police report.
F. I will pay the required AFJROTC activity fee of $20 within the first 6 weeks of being enrolled in AFJROTC. I understand I will not receive uniforms until payment is made.
G.I will read, understand, andcomplywith the requirements and information provided to me in the TX-20171 Cadet Guide. (Available online at the BHS Website and classroom set)
CADET AGREEMENT: I understand that AFJROTC requires specific grooming standards for both boys and girls (in uniform) as outlined above and as taught to me in class. I will correct problems when reported by the instructors.

6. PARENT AGREEMENT: I fully understand what is expected of my cadet to be part of the Braswell H.S. AFJROTC program. I understand that if my cadet fails to maintain grooming standards and/or wear the AFJROTC uniform on any required occasion, it may result in removal from the program. I understand that all uniform items, PT T-Shirt, shorts, and sweat shirts will be returned to AFJROTC if my student is removed from this course for any reason or drops this class prior to the end of the year.
I agree to the conditions set forth in this contract.I hereby give my permission for my daughter/son/ward to enroll in the AFJROTC Program and will encourage their active participation. My daughter/son/ward has read this contract, with particular attention to paragraph 5, and understands the requirements of the AFJROTC Program.I understand there is no commitment for military service associated with participation in AFJROTC.I will help my daughter/son/ward maintain the high standards required of a Braswell High School AFJROTC Cadet.
