Graduate Programs in Public Health

We are growing!! The Graduate Programs in Public Health (GPPH) at the University of New England is expanding its academic administration, and has three vacancies!! GPPH is seeking qualified persons to join us as our Public Health Career Advisor, Workforce Development Coordinator, or Practicum Coordinator. Our campus is located two miles from downtown Portland, Maine, one of the most livable cities in the United States. In Maine, you will enjoy amazing food, cultural events, a safe environment with great community spirit, and four beautiful seasons.

The Practicum Coordinator will join the team as the second practicum coordinator, and will oversee practical experience placements, capstone projects and research papers. The responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, helping students identify appropriate sites and projects, keeping track of all paperwork associated with the Practicum, and teaching the practicum courses. The Public Health Workforce Development Coordinator will work primarily with alumni and employers to identify public health workforce needs and trends. This position will also be responsible for coordinating activities that lead to development and delivery of workforce development or continuing education training modules. A doctoral degree in a public-health related field is preferred for this position, although strong candidates with an MPH or similar will be considered. This position is required to teach one GPPH course per year and there will be opportunities for teaching other public health courses. Please see the job posting for more information and to apply:

The Public Health Career Services Advisor will develop and deliver services that will help our students and alumni reach their career goals. The responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, providing individualized career counseling, helping to develop job search tools such as resumes and cover letters, discussing job search strategies, and coordinating modules or workshops relevant to public health careers.
