The Not-for-Profit Procurement Forum

Joining this forum is quite easy, but it is perhaps not as intuitive as it could be (and there are a few little traps), so use this document as a guide if you encounter any difficulties. Following this process is only necessary on the first occasion on which you wish to access the group.

  1. Click the Forum Link in the Procurement Portal – it will take you to http://mc2.vicnet.net.au/home/buying/index.html.
  2. It is suggested that you bookmark the page so you can return to it any time, without needing to go through the Procurement Portal again.
  3. On the mc2 site, click ‘Join the Group’ (or ‘Please Login!) at the bottom LHS of the page

·  If you are already registered on mc2 AND logged in, you can apply to join the group immediately.

·  If you are not a member of mc2 OR not logged in, you will receive a message that you must be registered and logged in to join the group, and you will be presented with the opportunity to do either.

·  If you are registered, enter your username and password and you will be able to apply to join the group immediately.

·  If you are not registered, click on the bottom button to ‘Register Now’

  1. Complete the Registration Form. It is strongly suggested that you read the requirements for each field by clicking on the field name and/or the help icons to the left of each required data item,
  2. Read the Code of Conduct – and perhaps a little more about the benefits available if you join the mc2 community,
  3. Click the ‘I Agree’ button and you will be presented with an instruction to ‘Check your Email’,
  4. You will receive an email asking you to click on a link to confirm your membership,
  5. Clicking that link will confirm you as a member of mc2 and allows you to enter your username and password to apply to join the Group.
  1. Because there may be information shared within this group that we don’t want non-members to see, there is a requirement to apply to join the Group. Once you are registered with mc2and logged in, you will be able to select any group(s) you wish to join.
  2. Click on one of the links that give access to the list of Groups (there are several) and either browse or search for the ‘Non Profit Procurement’ Group and click on the link to go to the Group’s page
  3. When the page displays, click on ‘Join this group’ and a screen will display, thanking you for your application and advising that you will be advised by email when your application has been approved.
  4. To enable the moderator to decide your eligibility to join the Group, please also send an email to , advising that you have applied for access and stating the name of your organisation, your role in that organisation and any other information that may be necessary to establish your need to access the site.
  5. Once the moderator confirms your membership, you can return to the site at any time and log in to enjoy all the benefits of membership.
