RE: Proposing to helping those students who struggle on test whether it is in High School or College.

Overview. I propose that we develop a method to help High School and College students better prepare for test. Many students struggle when it comes to taking test and know what material they are going to need to study for any given test. We will do research to find out the best ways students can prepare for these test whether it be a big test such as an ACT or SAT or just a small chapter test in any given class. I would like to do research on this because I am one of those students who just don’t do well on test. This might be because I don’t study the right material or I just don’t have a good study plan.

This project will have many benefits for students who struggle with test because it will:

  • Give students tips to help them study for a test that they are worried about.
  • Help students achieve better grades if they take into practice the method that we are going to come up with.
  • Allow students to feel more confidence before taking a test.
  • Show students the discipline that is needed to study for a test, rather than just hoping they will get a good grade without studying beforehand.

Rationale.

Benefits to BUS 2200 Students. In the business world we are going to need to:

  • Know the material for any given class that we are in.
  • Be able to know how to study for test that we are going to face in future classes.
  • Be able to learn material, not just long enough for a test, but be able to use what they have learned in the business world.

This project will require us as BUS Student to research and learn how other students will be able to achieve the benefits listed above.

Our main target audience will be High School and College students. Many of them including myself are looking for a more efficient way to study for test. While taking test, students might feel stressed out because they are not sure if they studied the right material for the test. This will make it harder for them to fully concentrate on the test that they are taking.

Plan/Time Fame

In order for us to be successful in developing a method for students to be for efficient in studying for test we need to plan our time wisely. We need to know what needs to be done each day and each week. Below is a chart that will outline the basic things that will need to be covered with in the 6-7 weeks that we have to do this service.

Time Frame

Week 1 / Plan our approach; come up with the type of document that would fit best and easiest for readers to follow. Contact a few teachers to see if this will benefit their students.
Weeks 2-3 / Begin our research; figure out who should research what, bring research together and plan out what research we are going to use.
Weeks 4-5 / Fine tune our research and begin to put it together. Analyze all of the data that we have found. Create document or website to help students.
Weeks 6-7 / Finish the group project, edit out grammatical errors, prepare presentation, and present project to the class.

Personnel

For this project we are going to need about 4-5 students so that we can obtain all the information need. We will need to speak to multiple teachers/professors for ideas, along with fellow students. Students will need to research different study methods, time frames for studying for test, create a easy to read document that will help our target audience, and prepare a presentation so that we can present our method to our target audience.
