TITLE: Approval of the replacement of the Content Filter and Firewall - $16,065.51

In order to facilitate our new Internet pipeline, we need to replace both our Content Filter and Firewall. A UTM (Unified Threat Management) appliance combines both Firewall and Content filter into a single appliance.

The technology Operations team recommends the purchase of the Smoothwall UTM appliance. This solution will reduce our on-going service and support costs while facilitating our larger pipeline to the Internet.

Total purchase price of the appliance and 3 years of both licensing and services equals: $16,065.51

1. Adopt proposal as presented
