5:00 PM – 6:30 PM Celebration of Jazz and the Music of New Orleans by The New Rochelle High School Jazz Band along with a special appearance by the Monroe College

7:00 PM – 10:30 PM ($20.00 donation at the door;) without wristband
New Orleans Express, opening night art exhibit and reception at Backstreet Gallery, and Gallery Café, 41-43 Lawton Street. This is the opening night for the silent auction of works donated by renowned artists for the benefit of Habitat’s Katrina relief including: Faith Ringgold, Gilbert Fletcher, Robin Miller, Charles Fazzino, Alvin Clayton, Margaret Lemelle, Adrienne Garnett, Scott Seaboldt, Lou Netter, Otto Pampellone, and several others.
The silent auction will run through Sunday, March 5th at 5:00 PM.
In addition, Ms. Ringgold, Robin E. Miller and Mr. Fletcher will be on hand to sign their books.
New Orleans cuisine, including Shawn’s Crawfish Gumbo, will be served at Gallery Café. Jazz singer Judi Marie Canterino of the legendary Half Note in New York City will be performing (courtesy of producer Gregory Allen Cramer)

5:30 pm, Monday thru Saturday. Show your wristband at the participating
Downtown New Rochelle restaurants and receive a discount on your meals
