- REMINDER THE COMMONS IS CLOSED DURING PERIOD 4 FOR CLEANING
- Your Nicaragua/Costa Rica crew is volunteering at a local school while in Nicaragua and would like to make a difference by donating much needed school supplies. For the rest of January and the first week in February, we’ll be collecting small items to take with us. If you have any new (or like new) items you can part with, we’d be most grateful! Donations can be brought to Student Services. We appreciate your support!!
- All wrestler, drop by room 225 to get sized for your bunny hug and sweats. See Ms. Fortosky or Ms. Musey Johnson. Orders will go in on Mon. at 1:00. Also a reminder that there will NOT be any formal practices during final exams, January 22-31st, however wrestlers are encouraged to maintain awork out schedule during this time by visiting the weight room or doing cardio exercise. Regular practices will resume on February 1st at 3:30 in preparation for the next Mini-Meet on February 7th. February schedules will be available at Fri.'s practice this week.
- The yearbook staff meeting will take place tomorrow (Friday) at lunch in the main floor computer lab. In addition, there will be an editors meeting today at lunch in the main floor computer lab.
- The U of S PAAL program is beginning its winter semester this week. This program offers children, teens, and adults with varying special needs the opportunity to participate in recreation programs with assistance from volunteers. If you are going to be taking Christian Ethics or Catholic Studies in semester 2, getting involved with this program would be a tremendously rewarding way to complete your volunteer service work. Check out the bulletin board outside of room 162 for more information and registration forms, or talk to Ms. Simpson.
- Choir will be Tuesday and Friday this week! Be on time!***Saturday, Jan 20th we will be singing at the Saskatoon Blades Game; be there at 6:45!
- No POPS band this week. We will meet again after finals to plan the FUZE performance.
- Semester 2 timetables are available to view online. Go to the GSCS portal and click on “BJM Maplewood Web” and then log in the same way you log into the school computers. Select “This Year” under the “Timetables” tab and then select Semester 2.
- The Princess Shop is accepting applications for grade 12’s graduating, the chance to have the opportunity to celebrate this accomplishment. See Student Services for more info.
- All BJM students are invited tosign-upfor a field trip to learn more about, and see up close, a very famous relic of St. Francis Xavier at theCathedral of the Holy Familyon Thursday, January 18th.Spots are limited, so sign-up soon by talking to Mr. Uhyn, Mr. Lockert, or letting your Catholic Studies teacher know. You can also sign up at the main office. On Thursday we will leave a few minutes before the end of period 2 class and be back at BJM around 12:10pm. You’ll need to talk to your period 3 teacher about the possibility of missing that day.
