SECTION 1 GENERAL

1.1DOCUMENT SUMMARY

  1. This document specifies the minimum criteria for the design and performance of the CM-512 PTZCamera.

1.2STANDARDS

  1. ThePTZ Camerameets or exceeds the following requirements of the following publications and organizations.

1.International Organization for Standardization (ISO 9001:2008)

2.Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS)

1.3SYSTEM DESCRIPTION

  1. ThePTZCamera shall offer the latest in digital capture technology, product reliability, security, ease of use, and customer support structure.
  2. ThePTZ Camera shall be an indoor/outdoor camera with an IP66 rated housing to protect against weather conditions. The Network Video Camera shall have an integrated heater for extreme temperatures as low as -40°F (-40°C). The Network Video Camera shall come equipped with an IR Cut Filter for day and night video.

1.4OPERATING SPECIFICATIONS

  1. Environmental Conditions: theNetwork Video Camerashall be designed to operate under the following environmental specifications:

1.Operating Temperature: -40°F to 122°F (-40°C to 50°C) non-condensing.

  1. Power Requirements: Components shall have the following electrical specifications:

1.Power Requirement: 24 VAC

2.Max power: 50W

3.Rated Amperage: 2.08A

  1. Product Label Requirements:

1.The Network Video Camerashall have RoHS certification clearly labeled on the outside of the box

  1. Dimensions (H x W): 11.1” x 7.5” (282 mm x 190.5 mm)

1.5WARRANTY & CUSTOMER SERVICE

  1. The Network Video Camera shall come with a minimum 2 year manufacturer’s warranty with the 1st year including advance replacement service.
  2. The Network Video Camerashall come with a heroic customer service support structure, including a 1-888 number for technical service, pre and post sales assistance, and full access to online technical support as well as online sales support.
  3. Technical support shall be available for 24 hours per day 7 days per week to all integrators and dealers free of charge.

SECTION 2 PRODUCT INFORMATION

2.1OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  1. PTZ CAMERA – The PTZ video camera shall include, as a minimum, the following features/functions/specifications. The network video camera shall:

1.Include a high quality Sony Effio P-II CCD image sensor.

2.Have an analog resolution of at least 650 horizontal TV lines.

3.Have an ingress protection (IP) rating equivalent to IP66 against the ingress of dust and moisture.

4.Include wide dynamic range (WDR) function for situations with a wide variety of lighting conditions.

5.Operate with a minimum illumination of 0.6lux(color) and 0.2lux(black and white) when measured at 30 IRE and/or1 lux(color) and 0.4lux(black and white) when measured at 50IRE with the Digital Slow Shutter function disabled.

6.Include a Digital Slow Shutter function to extend the camera’s low light capability.

7.Include a mechanical IR cut filter that is removed during low light conditions to improve low light imaging.This shall be referred to as a True Day/Night function.

8.Include a varifocal lens with a length from 3.4mm to 122.4mm for a total optical zoom capability of 36x.

9.Have a field of view from 72.3° at the widest view to 2.3° at the narrowest view.

10.Have Auto/Manual Iris control that is user adjustable.

11.Have a white balance function that is user adjustable.

12.Have a white balance range of at least 2,000K to 10,000K.

13.Have a backlight compensation function that is user adjustable.

14.Have an auto gain control function that is user adjustable.

15.Include 4 alarm inputs used for activating alarm events.

16.Include 2 relay outputs that can be activated on alarm input and on motion detection.

  1. CONTROLCAPABILITIES – The PTZ camera shall provide the following characteristics/features/functions. The PTZ camera capabilities shall:

1.Be capable of responding to control commands through an RS-485 communication interface.

2.Use the OPTIX III PTZ control protocol as the default.

3.Have other control protocols available including – but not limited to – Pelco P, Pelco D, JVC, and Kalatel-485, as well as others.

4.Have an “endless” pan range, so that users can drive the camera past 360° horizontal without backtracking.

5.Have a tilt range from -10° to 190°.

6.Support up to 256 preset positions.

7.Have preset accuracy within no less than ±0.225°.

8.Have variable move speeds from 5° per second minimum to 400° per second maximum.

9.Be capable of storing and recalling 8 pattern tours that recall a user defined path.

10.Be capable of storing and recalling 8 tours that recall user defined preset positions.

11.Be capable of storing and recalling 4 “Auto-scan” tours, consisting of two preset positions that the camera pans back and forth between.

12.Support up to 16 privacy masks.

13.Support up to 16 zone titleswith a maximum of 20 characters for each title. Each view area’s title can be named with a privacy mask ID number for future reference.

14.Have a home settingthat the camera shall return to after a user defined amount of time that shall be a minimum of 1 minute and a maximum of 128 minutes. When the auto-home setting is activated, it shall call a Preset Tour, a Pattern Tour, an Autoscan Tour, or a Preset position.

15.Have a picture function that shall allow the user to flip the image that can be turned on and off through the OSD menu.

16.Include both auto and manual focus operation.

17.Have 4 physical alarm inputs and 2 alarm outputs.

18.Shall have an on screen display (OSD) menu that the user can navigate through the RS-485 command interface.
