Class 1 Curriculum Map 2016-17

The emphasis in Class 1 is on learning through active experience. Opportunities are given for the children to learn in different ways and at different rates while encouraging individuals to feel a valued member of the class.
There are 7 areas of learning in the Early Years Curriculum which are shown below. We follow a different topic each half term and provide varied learning experiences through topic based activities alongside focussed group work in phonics, literacy and mathematics.
