Listing Sentence
I walk, aim, swing, throw, hop.
Playing Hard
I grab the discus and feel its slippery surface as I walk into the circle. I position my feet, aim, swing, throw, hop. There is a taste of hope in my mouth as I see the discus soar away from me. When I hear the person say my distance I start to feel light-headed. I take a deep breath and smell the fresh air. Personal best! I’ve never felt so great.

Character Description
Jamie
Jamie is one of the best sisters ever.
Jamie always makes me smile and hugs me when I’m sad. She works on a dairy farm milking cows and helping out where she can. At work she wears overalls, woolly socks and big boots. She has a kind smile with kind eyes to match. On her head she has long, dark brown hair, not as long as mine, but with highlights. Jamie likes to dress up all girly when she’s not at work – she likes to wear dresses.
In her milking clothes Jamie is serious about her job and knows what needs to be done. She concentrates hard when she uses the gates to bring the cows forward. She’s a chill out kind of girl when at home, and talks with her voice dripping with smiles.
Jamie has an amazing life and that makes me want to be just like her. She’s kind and generous, and proves it when she invites me to stay at her house. I see her work with Marcus or her boss. I hear laughter and see smiles. Everyone loves her personality and so do I.
Jamie stands in the milking shed and cups the multi coloured cows to milk them. If you listen closely you can hear the quiet sound of the cups going up and down on the teats. Jamie and Marcus laugh as they work together. Molly the black coloured farm dog laps noisily at the floor.
Jamie is an all-rounder and enjoys everything she does. I wish her all the best and know she’ll make the best of everything.
