DAILY SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Friday Feb. 14th--- 5 km/5 km Freestyle Race

1:00pm----Coaches Meeting in Library: Pick up bibs in Library

1:00pm----Volunteer Meeting in Library

Format: Interval Start

Order: Order will be determined from coach entries. Coaches should seed skiers in the order they want them sent out

Time:2:00 Varsity Girls (JV to follow) 5 km Freestyle

2:45 Varsity Boys (JV to follow) 5 km Freestyle

Afterwards: Results posted on outside board

Saturday Feb. 15th---7.5km/5 km Classic Race

9:30 am---Coaches Meeting; Pick up Bibs in Library

Voting for:

Coach of the year (female and male)

Format: Classic- Mass Start in chevron formation (based off day 1 results)

Course: 7.5km Boys, 5km Girls

Time: 11:00 am-----Boys Varsity race

11:10 am-----Boys JV race

12:00 pm-----Girls Varsity race

12:10 pm-----Girls JV race

1:30 pm-----Awards Ceremony in Commons

**Tournament Fee: Each region school will pay a $100 fee to the host school to defray expenses of hosting the region meet. Please make checks payable to the host school.

Awards

There will be a team award for the first place team and individual medals for each team member (7).

Individual medals will be given to the first ten finishers of both varsity freestyle and classical races. Top 10 finishers for the JV races will receive ribbons.

A "Skier of the Year” award shall be given to the winner of the combined times of both the classical and freestyle races for each gender.

A "Coach of the Year" Award for both boys and girls team will be voted on by the coaches at the coaches meeting.

Prior to the meet, nominations may be submitted in writing to the tournament director with rationale for the nomination. Other nominations may be accepted at the coaches meeting before voting. Each school's head coach or his/her designee shall have one vote for boys and girls.

Waxing

Please bring a tarp to put down under your waxing tables. Waxing in designated areas only. We will be using the back hallway, auto shop, and an equipment room.

School Use

The commons area will be closed to skiers on Friday. No ski boots on tiled floors.

T-shirts

Northwest Designs will be selling Region memorabilia clothing on site Friday and Saturday.
