SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS INFORMATION

NOTE: Applicants are advised that these scholarship awards may affect your financial assistance status.

General Eligibility Requirements

Criteria for First Time Incoming Freshmen, except Biological and Systems Engineering majors

  1. You must complete an Undergraduate Admissions application, by May 1, 2017, and then be offered admission to FAMU for fall 2017.
  2. You must begin full-time enrollment at FAMU, beginning fall 2017.
  3. The Office of Student Financial Aid must receive the completed results of your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) by July 30, 2017.

The priority filing date for FAMU is March 1st.

  1. You must submit an Admissions Confirmation Fee Deposit to Florida A&M University prior to June 1, 2017.
  2. You must register to attend a New Student Orientation session, prior to June 15, 2017;
  3. You must accept your scholarship awards, by June 15, 2017.
  4. You may only receive one scholarship at a time from CAFS.

First Time Incoming Freshmen

If you are applying as a high school student for the 2017 fall semester, you will automatically be considered for a CAFS General Scholarship. The selection process is highly competitive. If we offer you a scholarship, we will contact you by e-mail.

The scholarship awards are contingent upon your successful completion of a high school program, with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, outstanding standardized test scores, and that your initial, first-time enrollment at Florida A&M University (FAMU) will be the 2017 fall semester.

Freshman Scholarship Awards for Biological Systems Engineering (BSE)Majors

Florida Community College Transfer Scholarships

This scholarship was established to assist high achieving Florida community/junior college graduates. This partial scholarship is a two-year undergraduate scholarship awarded to an AA/AS Degree transfer student, who has a minimum cumulative 2.50 GPA and is not yet enrolledas a FAMU student.
