Description of Classes & Schedule

OUTSIDE ARENA COVERED ARENA

Leadline- Open to riders 7 and under. May cross enter Walk/Trot classes only. Merit award: 25.Third place:50 pts. Reserve: 75 pts. Champion:100pts.

1- Walk 2- W/T 3- W/T & O/P

Walk/Trot Equitation -Open to all riders unable to canter in a group. May cross enter walk /trot classes only.

Points same as leadline.

4-Walk 5- W/T 6-W/T & O/P

Mini -Stirrup Equitation- Open to all riders 10 and under, may jump only X’s at same show.Fences: X's.

7- W/T 8- W/T Indiv.C

9- O/F

Cross Rail Hunter-Open to all riders & horses. Horse/rider combo not eligible to jump higher than 2’0” at same show. Fences:X’s.

10-O/F 11- O/F 12-W/T/C’

Long Stirrup EquitationOpen to adults. Fences: X’s.

13-W/T 14-W/T/C 15- O/F

Beginner Equitation- Open to all amateur riders 17 and under. No more than 6 to canter at a time.

Fences: X’s.

16- W/T 17- W/T/C 18- O/F

NOTE:.Mini Stirrup Eq., Long Stirrup Eq. and Beginner Eq. will qualify for finals by getting a total of 70 points. Riders eligible only to jump X’s at same show.

Short Stirrup Hunter Open to riders 12 and under. Fences 18”.

Short Stirrup Equitation Open to riders 12 and under. . Fences 18“.

22- W/T/C 23-O/F 24-Medal (Medal qualifies same as Jr.Eq.)

Baby Horse & Pony- Open to all horses & ponies in their 1st or 2nd year of showing. Trotting in corners will not be penalized. Judged as a hunter.

Fences: 2'0" or 2’3”.Rider’s choice. 25-W/T 26-W/T/C 27-O/F 28- O/F

***Jump Reset Break***

Puddle Jumper-May not cross enter otherjumper divisions at same show. Fences 2’0”-2’3”.

29-No touches to count, major faults only. Timed 1st round.

30- Table II, Section 2B. Time allowed in 1st round. 2nd round for clean horses with shortened and timed class.

31- Pick Your Own Line: All jumps in the ring must bejumped no more than once. Fastest clean round wins.

Low Schooling Jumper-May not cross enterenterother jumper divisions at same show. Fences 2’6”-2’9”.

32-No touches to count, major faults only. Timed 1st round.

High Schooling Jumper-May not cross enter other jumper divisions at same show. Fences 3’0”-3’3”

Children’s Hunter

Horse/ PonyOpen to all juniors. May not cross enter Pre-Children’s Hunter at the same show. Will split if entries warrant. Fences 2’6” large; 2’ medium & small, 3’0 horses.

Low Hunter- Open to horses. Fences 2’6” or 3’0”. Rider’s choice.

41 - O/F 42- O/F 43- W/T/C

Adult Equitation-Open to adults. Judged on equitation. Fences 2’6” or 3’0”. Rider’s choice.

44-W/T/C 45-O/F 46- Medal

(Medal finals qualify same as Junior and Novice.)

Junior Equitation- Open to all juniors riders 17 & under. Fences 2’3” small/medium, 2’6” large, & horses 2’9”.

47-W/T/C 48-O/F 49- Medal

(Medal open to all junior riders. 3 riders must complete the class for it to count. Win the Medal class or get 15 points to qualify for finals. May not cross enter Short Stirrup Medal or Novice Medal. CBHSA members only qualify for finals. Fences: (small/medium ponies- 2‘3“ large ponies-2’6”, horses-2’9”.)

Pre-Children’s Hunter Horse /Pony - Open to horses ridden by juniors. May not cross enter Children’s Hunter at same show. Fences: 2’ small & medium, 2’3” large, 2’6”horses.

50 - O/F 51- O/F 52 - W/T/C

Novice Equitation-Open to riders of any age who have not won 3 blue ribbons in any equitation class over 2’0.

Fences 2’3”.

53- W/T/C 54- O/F 55- Medal

(Open to all eligible novice riders. Riders may be called back to work on the flat. 3 entries must complete the course for it to count. Win the Medal class or get 15 points to qualify for finals. Only CBHSA members qualify for finals. May not cross enter Junior Medal.)

Lesson Horse & Pony-Open to mounts used in a lesson program & registered with CBHSA. Fences not to exceed 2’0.56- W/T/C 57- O/F 58-O/F

CBHSA Equitation- Open to all horses & ponies ridden by amateur CBHSA members. Horses & riders not eligible to jump higher than 2’3” at same show. Medal qualifies same as Junior Eq. Fences 2’ or 2’3”. Rider’s choice.

59 - W/T/C 60- O/F 61- Medal

Pleasure Horse & Pony- Open to ponies & horses not entered in any Hunter division at same show. Judged on manners & suitability. NO Martingales allowed. Fences 2’ ponies, not to exceed 2’6” horses.

62- W/T 63 - W/T/C 64 -W/T/C Park Mount 65- O/F

NOTE: All divisions are allowed to run with only 2 riders- points to count ½. Leadline is the only division that can run with only 1 rider-points count 1/3.
