To Radio Station:
I represent a WV nonprofit, the Federation of Humane Organizations of West Virginia. We have a Radio Ad PSA on spaying and neutering your pets that is running on WCLG in Morgantown and we would like it to air around the state on other radio stations. We want to get the message out to all citizens so we can stop the pet overpopulation in WV.
Each year, animal shelters in West Virginia take in over 50,000 cats and dogs, and each year, about 40% of these animals, including perfectly healthy and adoptable pets, are euthanized. Meanwhile, West Virginia taxpayers spend nearly $10 million annually to impound, care for, and euthanize unwanted dogs and cats. By spaying and neutering our pets and funding the WV Spay Neuter assistance program, we can control this pet-overpopulation by helping pet owners and communities throughout West Virginia to spay and neuter local cats and dogs! We can save money and save lives!
The PSA is a 30 second mp3 file which you can download and play. It is catchy and everyone finds it quite enjoyable in getting the message to spay and neuter your pets. We would like to thank you assisting in helping to reduce pet overpopulation in our state. Here is a link to the radio ad. http://www.fohowv.org/spay-neuter-campaign/spay-neuter-radio-ad/
