Explanation of Student Accounts

This is optional and intended to help offset some of the out-of-pocket costs incurred throughout their track career. The account will be maintained by the booster Treasurer and the funds can only be used for track-related purchase. So, how does this all work?

  • Throughout the season the athletes will have at least one fundraising opportunity where they can earn money for their personal account, the rate of that earning will be announced with the fundraiser.
  • All purchases must be approved by Coach Galloway, it will be the athlete’s responsibility to secure approval and submit the form along with the original receipt to Coach Galloway within 30 calendar days of purchase; reimbursement will be sent within 14 days of receipt by the Treasurer. Following is list of predetermined track-related expenses, it includes but is not limited to:
  • Contribution
  • Wind Suit purchase
  • Track spirit wear
  • Specialized track equipment (example: running shoes, spikes, tights, etc.)
  • Individual competition registration not already covered by the team
  • Banquet tickets
  • Accounts are available to those participating in track (indoor and/or outdoor) for consecutive school years otherwise the account will be closed and the funds will be absorbed by the general account. Funds in the account must be spent down by the end of their last eligible school year or they can be transferred to a sibling on the high school track team.
  • Athletes must be in good standing at the request of disbursement of any funds. The athlete contribution will be satisfied by deducting it from the account before reimbursement of any type will be made.
  • Any athlete who quits or is dismissed from the team becomes immediately ineligible for further reimbursements and forfeits any funds in their account to the general fund.
  • Account balance can be retrieved by sending an email to the boosters; all

requests will be answered within 5 business days.

  • Account funds cannot be withdrawn for cash.
  • Account funds cannot be used to reimburse payments made to satisfy payments collected by the Booster Club, these include but are not limited to: banquet/end of year celebration tickets, previously purchased spirit wear or wind suits; or donations or participation fees. Funds mustbe available in the account for those items and the Treasurer can make the deduction.

2017 Outdoor - Fundraising & Athlete Contribution

The $25 athlete contribution will support all Outdoor Track & Field booster activities. The contribution will entitle the athlete to complimentary admission to the end of the season celebration, snacks, gifts, etc.

Coach Galloway is requiring each athlete participating in outdoor Track & Field to purchase a wind suit so the team maintains a unified look when representing East High, while the track suit is yours to keep, it will be considered a part of your uniform so he expects it to be worn at all meets.

Wind Suits: $55, includes personalized jacket

You can fundraise to offset the contribution and cost of the wind suit! R&K SUB SALE will net $1 in your athlete account for every sub or sandwich sold. The sale begins on March 6th, order forms and money must be turned in at the beginning of practice on Monday, March 20th. Pick up will be at 4:30/the end of practice on Thursday, March 30th. Orders will be handed out from the home concession stand at Landis.

You can always pay the contribution or cost of the wind suit outright in cash or by check made out to: CDET&F Boosters

ALWAYS get a receipt. In order to cut down on confusion, when paying cash, be sure to have your athlete make every effort to pay BOARD MEMBER and ask for a receipt.

Payments made to Coach Galloway will receive a receipt once received by a Board member but payment directly to a Board member is the preferred method. On the receipt, it will be noted how much was received as well as how.

How can you help?

Join the boosters as we strive to make this season even better than the last, all you have to do is show up. The booster club will meet monthly – time and location to be announced.

Last season the booster club was able to provide snacks and meals for the athletes for home and away meets and invitationals. We also hosted a wonderful banquet where the seniors and coaches were presented with gifts. None of that would be possible without the help of the students through fundraising, fulfilling their obligations to the team and the support of the parents, guardians and the East High Track and Field network of family and friends. This year we hope to do even more but it all starts with you.

Check the areas below that you are interested in volunteering your time and someone from the Board will contact you to discuss the position/responsibilities.
