§ Due by Friday, September 22nd NO LATE DUES ACCEPTED
§ Covers Beta T-shirt and ALL additional fieldtrip expenses not covered
by the fundraiser
· You cannot participate in fieldtrips without dues.
· Cookie Dough Fundraising
o All Betas must sell 4 tubs (at $16.00 each)
o Packets will be given out the first of October
o Money and orders will be due two weeks later
o Proceeds pay for fieldtrip buses, gas, drivers
o MUST PARTICIPATE TO GO ON FIELDTRIPS
· Fieldtrip
o Alabama Shakespeare Festival
o Tuesday, December 5th
o Permission slips will go home at the November meeting
o Will need nice clothes. No Blue Jeans
· Club Project
o Relief for Hurricane victims
§ We will encourage/participate in providing food, cleaning supplies, and other needs for the local/school relief project
o Collecting can pop-tops for Ronald McDonald House
§ We will hold a drive at the end of January
§ Gather your pop-tops now
o Butterfly Bridge needs our fundraising help
§ We will work on this in February
§ Hoping to build a bigger pinwheel garden in April for Child Abuse Awareness
· Dates to Remember:
o Christmas Angels: Local underprivileged children
§ Signup to bring gift item (1st week of December)
§ NEW, Unwrapped item (due 2nd week of December)
o Beta Christmas Party: TBA (usually the last Monday before Christmas break after school)
o Grade check at end of 2nd nine weeks.
§ Maintain an 85 academic average & good conduct
o Spring Semester Activities:
· Beta Week, First Week of March
· Relay for Life, Last week of April
· Valentine project
· Sponsor Testing Rewards
o Next Beta Meeting: Thursday, October 5th
