B.E.S.T All Surface Organic Cleaner Instructions
-Environmentally Safe, Organic, Bio-Degradable, Non-Toxic.
Safe to use around children and pets, but like all cleaning products keep it safely out of reach of small children.
-Anti-static- repels dust instead of attracting it like some other cleaners do.
-Doesn’t leave a film or residue to re-attract dust and grime or to build-up over time-things are easier to clean next time.
-Non corrosives- won’t damage finishes.
-Works by breaking down and emulsifying dirt, oil and stains.
-Doesn’t “bleach out” or “corrode” stains. Always allow B.E.S.T a little time to work on heavy stains.
-Don’t let freeze. If it does, stir it up and keep using it. Try melting it in a pot on a stove, gently like butter, and then pour it back into the bucket. Let cool and use.
-Store some in a small container with tight lids. Keep in laundry, kitchen, bathroom, garage, cottage and office.
-Always use B.E.S.Twith water, even when using full strength water activates the cleaner.
-Rinsing is not always necessary, but does ensure a thorough cleaning job. Rinse when using B.E.S.T full strength or in strong mix. Ensures you have removed the cleaner and all the dirt or stain.
-Doesn’t remove permanent dyes. Always check materials and carpets for color fastness. Some dyes may run with just water. Some dry cleanable materials may water stain.
-Some red, orange, and grape soft drinks and kool-aids have red food dye additives which permanently dye carpets and materials.
These type of spills should be cleaned immediately. Permanent markers are stubborn and some ball-points have permanent inks and maybe difficult or impossible to get out. A second cleaning/application of cleaner may be needed.
-Doesn’t remove dry paint so is safe to use on painted walls and cars. Use for wet paint clean up.
-Doesn’t usually remove rust, but can take of surface rust or rust in material, depending on the kind of material. Try using a soft toothbrush with full strength B.E.S.T on rust stains in material.
-If you live in the country and/or your water is hard and has lots of minerals and sodium in it, you may need use a little more B.E.S.T for your solutions. We suggest that when making MIX #1 or #2, try using distilled or bottled water.
Mixing Instructions
B.E.S.T is safe to use full strength. A small amount of white soap may settle to the bottom of containers after mixing. Just shake a little and use. The more B.E.S.T used the thicker the solution. If you melt B.E.S.T and allow it to cool without adding water, B.E.S.T will return to a gel state. B.E.S.T can be melted again and again.
Step 1- Measure amount of B.E.S.T needed (see recipes below) into glass measuring cup. Add small amount of water. Melt in microwave, set power to half setting of 5. In a pot on the stove set to 4. Do not boil! B.E.S.T also melts if small blobs dropped into boiling hot water.
Step 2- Pour into 4 liter plastic jug.
Step 3- Carefully add very hot tap water to fill the jug the rest of the way.
Step 4- Shake jug gently. Fill/refill spray bottles from jug. B.E.S.T won’t separate.
Please make sure to mark all jugs and bottles clearly!
LIGHT MIX #1-For windows and mirrors.
20 mils B.E.S.T and 4 liters Hot Water.
Mix will be very lightly colored. No rinsing required. Note: The first time you use B.E.S.T on your windows and mirrors, give them a good cleaning. Perhaps use the MIX #2 and rinse. Use a no scratch sponge. This will remove any old film from vinegar and ammonia based cleaners. As old film comes off you can get streaking so get rid of the film first, then clean you windows and mirrors with MIX #1. If you get streaks later, you may have made MIX too strong! Add a little more hot water to thin it out.
HEAVY MIX #2- For all purpose cleaning.
200 mils B.E.S.T and 4 liters Hot Water.
Use this mix like spray laundry stain remover or all-purpose cleaner for walls, floors, furniture, cars, leather and vinyl, stoves and counter tops, fireplace bricks and stones or any other surface. Make the mix a little stronger or a little weaker, depending on how you are using it- experiment! Sometimes we use 240 mils B.E.S.T to a 4 liter jug of water for spray laundry stain remover for heavy stains. We use only 150 mils to 4 liters of water for doing floors.
EXTRA HEAVY MIX #3- For Extra Tough Jobs
200 mils B.E.S.T and 1 literof very hot. water.
Great for bathrooms. Store in a squeeze bottle. This MIX, when cool will be very thick. Give it a good shake to loosen it up. Use for bathrooms, heavy laundry stains, and tough cleaning jobs. Put into dispenser for those greasy working hands!
