AGENDA

Regular Business

  1. Review and approve the Minutesfromthe Regular Meeting of the First 5 Del Norte Children & Families Commission held on July 11th, 2017. **
  1. Review and approve the agreement between First 5 Del Norte Children and Families Commission and Applied Survey Research (ASR) for evaluation consulting services from September 1, 2017, to June 30, 2018, in an amount not to exceed $6,000, and authorize Executive Director to sign the agreement. **
  1. Review and approve the First 5 Mini-Grant Reporting Template. **
  1. Review and adopt the Community Food Council Donations Policy. **
  1. Review and accept grant funds from The California Endowment for the Community Food Council in the amount of $40,000 for continued work on food insecurity, and authorize Executive Director to sign grant contract. **
  1. Authorize Executive Director to purchase furniture and materials to create a family engagement room at the Yurok Head Start facility in Klamath, not to exceed $2,400. **
  1. Discussion and possible action to allow the FRC of the Redwoods to install a lockable gate for outside entry to the covered space outside the staff kitchen. **
  1. PUBLIC HEARING: Review and adopta Long-Term Financial Plan for 2017-2022 as required by the Small Population County Funding Augmentation agreement. **
  1. First 5 Garden Expansion Project Updates
  1. IMPACT Grant Updates: Possible action to accept additional funding through the Region 1 Hub. **
  1. Discussion and possible action on changes to the Wonder Bus program. **
  1. Public Comment Period: Any member of the public may address the Commission on matters which are within its jurisdiction. If you are addressing the Commission regarding a matter on this agenda, you may be asked to hold your comments until the Commission takes up that matter.
