Community Scholarship
Application Form 2018-19
Dear Student,
Thank you for downloading a Community Scholarship Application Form.
Community Scholarships are a great way of making a positive impact on your local or student community and the Scholarship panel is looking forward to reading about your idea.
Running a project like this will help you develop the independence and transferrable skills that employers are looking for.
To help you in the writing process, please take some time to think about the following criteria. The scholarship panel will be assessing your idea against these criteria and you should therefore do your best to detail about how your idea will demonstrate each of the points below.
How does my proposal:
Demonstrate a contribution to the development of local community (Medway or Canterbury) and/or the wider University environment
Develop skills of the workforce in the local community / students on campus
Provide educational, cultural, physical or environmental benefit
Provide an inclusive extra-curricular experience open to all Kent students at Canterbury and Medway
Some other useful questions to ask yourself:
How many Community members or students are likely to be affected?
To what extent will they benefit?
Is the project proposal feasible?
What kind of support will I require?
Once complete, please send the application form to:
Good luck!
