Appropriate Grade Level: K-8
Procedures/Steps:
Use the following comprehension strategies before, during, and after read-aloud:
1.  Predicting/Inferring-“I think this will happen…”
2.  Visualizing- “I saw this when I read…”
3.  Making Connections-“This makes me think of when…”
4.  Questioning- “I wonder what…”
5.  Main Idea-“The most important part was…”
6.  Summarizing- “Retell this story…”
7.  Checking predictions-“My prediction turned out to be…”
8.  Making judgments “The best part of this was…”
