PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
To assist in the delivery of partner relationships and rights and advising clubs of their obligations.
To aid and support the Partnerships Team in managing commercial stakeholders.
To be part of the RFL’s event team that delivers events on match days ensuring Sponsor requirements are met.
To provide day to day liaison with SLE/RFL licensee’s and suppliers.
To provide an administrative function across the Partnerships Team.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES / ACTIVITIES:
- To work with the Partnerships Team to ensure that the RFL and its member clubs deliver contractual rights incorporated in agreements with sponsors and commercial partners. This includes areas such as match day programmes, perimeter boards, hospitality, tickets, and partner events and will require the post holder to deal with complex information in delivering partner rights.
- To manage, facilitate and record regular ticket and hospitality requirements, including attending centrally managed matches and managing sponsor’s requirements on event days.
- To account manage Commercial Contractors who deliver match balls, event signage, pitch branding and provide kit. This will include monthly meetings and regular dialogue with contractors, clubs and venues and negotiating specific courses of action.
- To attend occasionalmonthly meetings with SLE/RFL partners, supporting the account management and the RFL action plan list.
- To plan out and create end of season reports and reviews for each partner that incorporates how their brand has been showcased by rugby league
- Co-ordinate with the Partnerships Manager the delivery of additional rights such as signed shirts, balls, branding inventory and programme advertisements for commercial partners.
- Be responsible for coordinating sponsorship financial accounts including invoicing, purchase orders and recharges.
- To prepare the sign off process of Super League and Championship kit artwork to ensure all central sponsor/partner requirements are met and that clubs follow SLE and RFL regulations.
- To undertake tasks as directed in the pursuit of commercial partnerships.
- Undertake such duties as maybe required from time to time as are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of the RFL.
- Compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act, with specific responsibility for the health safety and welfare of all personnel within their control including themselves and for ensuring the overall safe and compliant planning, implementation and monitoring of all activities.
- Reports all accidents and/or incidents and near misses in accordance with RFL procedures.
- To collate appropriate departmental performance based reporting and associated information. Preparation and delivery of monthly reports and key performance indicators to their Line Manager as required.
- Ensure compliance with the Company’s financial authorities’ procedure.
- Responsible for ensuring and maintaining robust and effective paths of information/communication/dissemination within both their department and the organisation as a whole, reporting any potential issues to their line manager.

- To encourage and support the development of the sport at all levels, through increased participation, revenue generation and ticket sales to maintain organisational sustainability.
- Not an initial requirement for this role, although the post holder is expected to quickly gain a basic understanding of the rules in order to be able to deal with sponsor questions on game days etc.
- Must have some previous experience of working within brand management or sports rights delivery.
- Previous demonstrable experience of delivering a project on time and to budget.
- To have some experience of working a professional sporting environment.
- Ideally educated to degree level although on the job experience more relevant

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Decision Making – within set boundaries but usually as part of a team, however opinions will be sought regularly at team meetings.
Responsibility for Human Resources - no direct staff management responsibilities other than deputising for colleagues particularly with temporary or placement staff.
Freedom to Act - within pre-defined boundaries.
Level of Internal Contacts - working with staff at all levels and across all departments but predominantly working with marketing, media, events and finance staff.
Level of External Contacts– contact with RFL/SLE Sponsors, brand agency staff and contractors/suppliers. Will be required to attend meetings with contractors and venues. Information received will be commercially sensitive and complex.
Consequence/Significance of Error - would not cause more than minor inconvenience and would be limited to the department.
Financial Responsibilities–limited responsibility, role will involve undertaking administrative actions.
