- WHO, CDC, U.S. State Department, and/or other reliable sources recommend a travel alert.
- Public Health measures implemented or needed to mitigate risk.
- Minimal healthcare system impact.
- Evidence of widespread person to person spread in country.
- Possible/probable essential infrastructure compromised.
- Lack of reliable information to make informed decisions.
- WHO, CDC, U.S. State Department, and/or other reliable source issue significant travel restriction/border closing advisory.
- Pandemic (human to human transmission)
- Global essential infrastructure compromised
- Healthcare system overwhelmed.
- Quarantine in affect (e.g. borders closed)
Actions:
- Regional response team(s) and business updated.
- Obtain medical information and guidance as situation dictates to assess situation.

- Confirm that corporate level communications is prepared to support the crisis and begin the pandemic communications plan.
