Homeworking Agreement

Dear ,

Homeworking Agreement

I am writing to confirm the terms which will apply to the arrangement for homeworking which we have recently agreed. All other terms and conditions of your employment remain unchanged.

1. Details

You will be working on terms with effect from.

2. Hours of work

You will work per week with at home and at name/address of workplace. You will be expected to be contactable for work purposes during the following times: .

Outside these times your working hours will be flexible as agreed by us and within the principles of the Flexitime Procedure for Police Staff (21801) . (delete if not appropriate). You will keep a record of the hours you work each day using the Flexible Working Hours Record Sheet.

3. Absence

You will inform me in the normal way if you are unable to work due to sickness, or for any other reason. You will also follow normal procedures when requesting annual leave.

4. Health and Safety

The provisions of the Health & Safety at Work Act also apply to homeworkers. You must, therefore, take responsibility for your own safety and that of others who may be affected by you working at home and you must co-operate with the Constabulary on H&S issues.

5. Training and Development

You will be expected to undertake any essential training or development for your role, at a suitable location.

6. Keeping in touch

Keeping in touch is a joint responsibility between us. I shall visit you at your home on occasions, (give details if possible) and you will be expected to attend team and other meetings in the office. You will be given adequate notice of these.

In addition you must allow Constabulary employees access to your home for the purposes of checking equipment and systems and assessing health and safety.

7. Security

You must comply with the Force Information Security Policy and the following special security arrangements:

You must ensure the confidentiality of any papers or other information in your possession and take reasonable measures to ensure their security.

8. Expensestick (a) or (b) as appropriate

(a)You may claim reimbursement of incidental expenses through me, on form AD29E.

(See paragraphs 3.4.2.1(d), 3.6.4 and 3.9.2 of the Homeworking Procedure 23705)

(b) You are not entitled to claim expenses

9. Care of equipment

You must take proper care of Constabulary equipment and furniture to protect it against damage. You must not use Constabulary equipment for private purposes.

10. Trial period

A trial period of (3/6) months applies to this homeworking agreement. shall meet with you to review the arrangement on .

11. Agreement
