FH Jena (Ger.): Various majors, optional internships; free tuition possible
U. Bristol (England): Study (full year only) at a great school in a great location, any major

Summer Study Abroad
Engineering/Science Summer Study in Bristol, England – 2nd Summer Session (6 weeks)
Features: HIST 321 & ECE 460 at U. Bristol, England plus excursions, 2 weeks independent travel
Pre-req: Top half of class; math through 206; computer proficiency (no ECE prereqs)
Apply: Sophomore or later
Engineering/Science Summer Study in Trier, Germany – 1st Summer Session (4 wks)
Features: IS 210 & ENSP 200 at FH Trier, Germany with excursions including Munich trip
Pre-req: Top half of class; CH 101, MTHSC 106 completed

Engineering/Science Summer Study in Brussels, Belgium – 1st Summer Session (4 wks)
Features: ME 202 (Found. Mech Sys) and IS 210 (Intercult Com.) at CU-Brussels, plus excursions

Work Abroad
EPIC - the Engineering Program for International Careers
Features: Overseas co-op/optional study semester/foreign language study required
Majors: Limited to engineering (some CpSc possible)
Where: Germany (foreign language environments)
Pre-req: Complete freshman curriculum with 3.2+ GPR (no language pre-req)
Apply: Freshman (second semester) or sophomore
Internships – many academic year study abroad programs offer optional internships (see above)
Why Study or Intern Abroad?
1. It’s fun! Every Clemson student who has participated in one of our international programs (whether academic year study abroad, one of our summer programs, or EPIC) returns saying it was one of the greatest experiences they ever had!
2. It’s uniquely educational! Living in a different culture provides an education that just can’t be duplicated here. You not only learn about foreign cultures – you come to see the U.S. in a different light.
3. It’s a great career advantage! Almost every company that interviews Clemson engineering and science graduates has a keen interest in students who have been abroad for an extended period – and even greater interest if they are functional in a foreign language!
Study Abroad Scholarships
Clemson Scholarships & Financial Aid
Fall/Spring: For exchange programs, any Clemson financial aid or scholarship you may have applies!
Summer: Co-ops can move scholarships to summer, including Clemson Summer Study Abroad programs.
Global E3 Study Abroad (applications due by Feb. 15 for fall study, Sept 23 for spring study)
Women: ABB scholarships of $1500-$3000
Minorities: Scholarships of $1,000
Particular countries: special scholarships apply to Global E3 study in Japan, Mexico, Turkey.
Other
Pacific Rim (excluding Australia and New Zealand!): Freeman Asia offers $3000-$7000 awards
Germany: DAAD offers several programs; Esslingen & Ulm offer scholarships for Clemson students
