An investment services company dedicated to social investment with particular focus on microfinance. Microfinance provides access to capital for economically active poor people, typically for investment in productive assets or for use as working capital. We are based in Geneva, London, Mexico City, Singapore and Cape Town, with a staff of over fifty professionals who travel worldwide in emerging economies to assess fixed income investment opportunities. We are regulated as an asset manager of collective investment schemes by FINMA since February 2013. Our clients are private and institutional investors as well as public sector development agencies and foundations.

Under the supervision of the HR Manager, the HR Administration Assistant supports the human resources management in contributing to the accomplishment of Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

The position is based in Geneva / Switzerland. We offer a young and dynamic work environment in a growing industry and an opportunity to work in the social investment space with a for-profit corporation as a key player in the region.

Job Description

Recruitment & Onboarding

Planning and coordinating recruitments; preparing job announcements; making first screening of resumes according to requirements, organizing written tests (according to positions); notifying candidates of application/employment status; participating in interviews (according to positions), drafting employment contract, organizing welcome & briefing program for new comers, etc.

Payroll & Social security

Supporting the Company’s entities and teams in Switzerland and abroad (expats included) in monthly payroll, Administering all payroll inputs, Calculating employee’s and employer's Swiss social security, taxation at source and all related compensation payments. Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data. Working with our brokers for admin follow-up in sickness and accident cases.

HR Administration

Maintaining personnel records ensuring timely and accurate records (personnel physical and electronic files), Assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality of information flow. Filing & archiving records in accordance with the Swiss law in protection of personal data. Helping maintain company organization charts and employee directory. Preparing HR documentation like contracts, contract amendments and various confirmations of employment for different purposes, exit cases and other legal documents. Informing & answering to employees according to HR procedures and policies. Absence administration and other related duties as required and assigned.

Skills/qualifications/experience:

§  HR diploma and/or certification in Switzerland or EU

§  2-3 years of experience in HR Administration and/or Payroll

§  Experienced in processing of Expat payroll / administration of social security an asset

§  Knowledge of HR processes, policy, procedures and best practice

§  Consistently meets payroll deadlines with accurate delivery across all areas of responsibility

§  Good analytical skills and attention to details

§  Good communication skills

§  Effectively builds and maintains customer relationships with the ability to manage customer expectations

§  Work in a global environment with teams in different locations

§  High degree of team spirit and Corp. Social Responsibility (CSR) culture

§  Always takes ownership for query resolution

§  Proficiency in MS office (Word, Excel, Power Point)

§  Fluent in English and French (bilingual an asset) and Spanish a plus

§  Work permit valid for Geneva/Switzerland.
